Myself and my sister stayed here June of 2003 and it was great! The staff and the rooms were very nice. And being in a wheelchair was no problem! In fact the handicapped rooms were very nice and didn't make you feel like you were "handicapped" like some hotels in Europe can make a person feel. On top of the great rooms and service the location is very centrally located to everything. Most of the typical places tourists want to see is within walking distance or the Metro is just outside the door. Best of all we found our favorite place to eat was at the Cafe' right on the corner!

It was easy access to transportation. If you like walking, put on your sneakers and get ready to see all the sights, museums, cafes, churches, parks and the river. I would do it again and stay longer.

The concierge was top notch. The hotel was always clean and orderly. Our party had never been to Paris before, and the hotel made it feel manageable and like home. I cannot say enough good things.

The Cayre has two things going for it -- its location in St. Germain-des-Pres and its very friendly and effective staff. There definitely are worse places to stay. But does that make its rooms worth US$240-280? To me, no.

The hotel's central location is really hard to beat. We walked to the Louvre, Orsay, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter and Tuilleries. The Metro station just outside the door made our other trips very convenient. We hadn't ridden urban subway systems very much, but Metro was easy, clean and safe. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't know very much French, but I did make an effort to greet them and exchange pleasantries in French. At checkout there were no unexpected charges on our bill. Sad to say, that seems to be almost the exception with many hotels today. Our room was a bit small by American standards but it was definitely very adequate, and was clean. The hotel and our room are decorated in a modern theme. I'm usually a bit more traditional in my tastes, but I liked it. I'd definitely book this hotel again.

Just spent my honeymoon in Paris in March. We researched TONS of hotels, as this was the first visit to Paris for both my wife and I. We decided on the K+K for a number of reasons including price, location and look. The location is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. It is 15 feet from the Rue Du Bac metro stop on the 12 line, a bus stops in front of the hotel, and it's right on St. Germain in the heart of the left bank. Close enough to walk to the Latin Quarter, The Louvre, Orsay, etc., but far enough for some peace and quiet at night. The room was a great size in my opinion. We opted for an Executive Double, which had a King bed, a couch, nice closets, bathroom w/heated floor. We were on the top floor, so it was quiet. It was about the size of a standard king-bed room at an American Westin, Hyatt, etc. The staff was great. They all spoke English, if that's a concern. All restaurant suggestions were right on. They even got us into Guy Savoy, on a Friday. We asked on Thursday. The interior is modern, as are the rooms. They have a restaurant in the lobby, but we never ate there. It's Paris, you'll eat better for half the price at any brasserie or vendor. Keep in mind though that it's not super-luxurious. It's on pace with some of the boutique hotels in NYC. The Hudson, the W Tuscany, etc. If you're looking for a hotel that's lush and lavish, this isn't for you. There's a great butcher shop, chocolate shop, wine shop and convenience store right around the block, if you want to stay in for a night. It was an all-around great experience. I highly recommend.

My fianc'e and me stayed here on our first visit to Paris. We got an excellent rate through our agent. Our stay was wonderful in every respect except for the fact that the rooms were small by American standards. We thoroughly enjoyed the full breakfast each morning. The service was excellent. The best thing about this hotel is it's location. It's within walking distance to the Louvre, Musee D'orsay and many other sites. The 7th district is one of the best in all of Paris. I love the mix of retail, entertainment and residential. The metro is across the street and there are fine restuarants in walking distance. Hopefully, the price will satbilize.

LIKES DEFINITELY OUTWEIGH THE DISLIKES: LIKES: VERY CLEAN AND MODERN ROOM(WE GOT A BEAUTIFUL TERRACE ROOM ON THE TOP FLOOR) METRO IS ACROSS THE STREET, GAS STATION NEXT DOOR, POST OFFICE ACROSS THE STREET, AND CAFE NEXT DOOR (CONVENIENCE) SERVICE DESK CAN PRACTICALLY SET YOU UP FOR ANYTHING (DINNER, TOURS, ETC) - VERY PROFESSIONAL FREE INTERNET LOCATION IS ABOUT 1 MILE FROM ORSAY MUSEUM DISLIKES: NOT REALLY ONE EXCEPT BATHROOM IS SMALL BUT ALL OF PARIS IS LIKE THIS BE CAREFUL OF THE ADULT ENTERTAINMENT ON TV (I THINK THIS CAN BE BLOCKED OUT BY REQUEST) I DON'T KNOW IF $320/NIGHT IS A BARGAIN, BUT IF YOU CAN GET A ROOM FOR AROUND $200-$250 DURING CERTAIN TIMES OF THE YEAR, THIS IS THE PLACE!
