Hotel Imperial Vienna, Vienna

When we arrived, the Concierge gave us a lovely tour of the hotel, and several suites. He then upgraded both our room and my parents' room free of charge. Keep in mind, it was very expensive to stay at this hotel anyway. It's rare to find this level of service for less though. I called housekeeping, and requested some finger-nail polish remover, which was brought to me in minutes. The rooms are elegant and beautifully decorated, if you like an old-world European feel. It's a stunningly beautiful hotel in an actual palace. The cafe in the hotel, while pricey, also has wonderful food. We especially loved the Einspanner (an espresso with un-sweetened fluffy whipped cream), which is served on a little silver platter with a glass of water. These people take their coffee and their chocolate seriously. The best coffee we had in Europe. A gentleman at the front desk helped me with questions about attire for various events and restaurants, and always had a smile for us as we left the hotel for the evening. We really appreciated the staff during the day, as some of the staff at night were a little indifferent by comparison. Beds are very firm - we happen to like it that way though. Our stay at the Hotel Imperial was unbelievable!! Every detail of the hotel, the rooms, the restaurants, the service was far beyond anything I'd experienced in any other hotel. You feel like Royalty staying there. Room Service is delivered by a tuxedo laden man. Even Turn down service is above what one would expect. It's within walking distance to the Central part of the City in Vienna, and is so beautiful inside, it takes you back to another time, I can't wait to make another visit!!!

If you really want to experience Vienna at its best this is the only place to stay. My wife and I honeymooned here. This Hotel is by far the best. One of the few 6 Star Hotels in the world. True, there are far less expensive hotels. However the level of service is clearly rehearsed and excellent. vienna is known as the City of Universities as most people in Vienna are well educated. Imagine if you will, enjoying service by people who have chosn their careers and went to college for it, from the desk clerks, concierge, to housekeeping. Everyone takes great....let me say again...GREAT PRIDE IN THEIR WORK. Nothing is over looked. The staff is amongst the best. Not to mention this is were many dignitaries stay when the UN is in session, so don't be surprised if you are sharing an elevator with someone powerful. I can't say enough about the Service...EXCELENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT.

It was pretty good, and they had really nice people and service, and it was really a great expreience. But, you know, it really was very expensive! I really regret paying all that money. It wasn't worth it. It would've been fine in a value hotel. So, unless you're on a business trip and you don't have to pay, don't go here. Don't waste your money.

This hotel still remains in excellent condition after over a century of catering to royalty. Excellent location right on the Ringstrasse. The room service food is some of the best I've had in a hotel anywhere. Even the worse rooms have silk wallpaper, walk-in closets and chandeliers. A truly marvelous experience. Worth the money.

This property is truly unique. You're staying in a real palace with tons of extraordinary artwork everywhere. The restaurant was great- everything was perfect. The bar was dimly lit and included a piano player for entertainment- perfect place to conclude your evening. THe location is awesome- right across the street from the main shopping district in Vienna, a few blocks from the opera house.

Incredible in every way. No expense spaired. Opulent. Stayed in a junior suite, felt like a ballroom.
