Treated like royalty.. but also paid for it
When we arrived, the Concierge gave us a lovely tour of the hotel, and several suites. He then upgraded both our room and my parents' room free of charge. Keep in mind, it was very expensive to stay at this hotel anyway. It's rare to find this level of service for less though. I called housekeeping, and requested some finger-nail polish remover, which was brought to me in minutes. The rooms are elegant and beautifully decorated, if you like an old-world European feel. It's a stunningly beautiful hotel in an actual palace. The cafe in the hotel, while pricey, also has wonderful food. We especially loved the Einspanner (an espresso with un-sweetened fluffy whipped cream), which is served on a little silver platter with a glass of water. These people take their coffee and their chocolate seriously. The best coffee we had in Europe. A gentleman at the front desk helped me with questions about attire for various events and restaurants, and always had a smile for us as we left the hotel for the evening. We really appreciated the staff during the day, as some of the staff at night were a little indifferent by comparison. Beds are very firm - we happen to like it that way though. Overall, you will be taken good care of at the Imperial. - The Rosenberg Family
