Just ok...

The Transamerica bills itself as a "Resort." Well, not really.... it has a swimming pool and a nine-hole golf course, and that's about it. Built in the 60s, it shows its age in the decor and wear-and-tear. It needs refurbishing. It's located in the outskirts of Sao Paulo in the Santo Amaro district; good if you want to stay away from the hustle of the city (the Jardims district is the best choice). Sao Paulo is a huge city (est. 21 million) and with a run down, crowded, old center (worth a visit but not to stay there). The service is very attentive but not everyone speaks English. The Sunday brunch at the main restaurant is outstanding!.
