We love Decameron BUT?
My wife and I spent two weeks at this hotel, and had a lovely time. The staff were very friendly and the entertainment was good most of the time. The food was delicious and varied, and we loved the fact they are now introducing Jamaican delicacies to the menu.
As a Jamaican who have lived abroad for many years, its obvious that when I return I would be eager to see my family. That was one of the few bad experiences that we had, as my family came to visit and there was no where provided for them. All the other resorts that we stayed at , there was always somewhere for guests to sit with their visitors.
There was also a misunderstanding with the day and night passes as one of my family members wanted to stay one night to celebrate my wife's birthday with us, but she was told she would have to leave at 2am as a result, we had to go elsewhere to celebrate my wife's birthday. without my family member. To me a day pas should be a day pass and a night pass should be for an overnight stay. No one wants to leave at
two o'clock in the morning as that could be dangerous. .
Back to the entertainment, we really enjoyed what was on offer but why
stop at 10.30pm. We enjoy dancing, but weren't given the chance. Every thing seems to be geared around the younger people, as they can go to the disco, when the older ones have to go to bed. After all, we are on holiday. Apart from that we had a lovely time and would definitely go back hoping that these issues will be resolved. We would like to name a few of the staff that were very welcoming and served us very well. They are Zulu, QQ Nobel, and Patishia.
We would also like to add,how happy my wife was that for the first time in a Caribbean hotel, she didn't get bitten by mosquitoes. By the way Kids activities need reviewing as they haven't even got a swimming pool .I hope Decameron continues to improve, and we'll be back, God willing.
