Hilton Barbados, Bridgetown

Just got back from a visit in Barbados, the Hilton Hotel has excellent views, from the bay or the Ocean.I've spent time on both sides.The bartenders by the pools were very friendly,polite and mixed drinks well, also willing to exchange them if you did not enjoy your drink. The brunch is awesome if you are willing to appreciate the"Bajan culture". The price was ok for that class Hotel in comparison to their competitor about a quarter mile away. It was worth the value and time for myself and other family members who were there. The experience was fun, however i believe more outdoor activities can be introduced to their customers i.e scuba diving, jet skiing and other water activities. The night entertainment is good, the entertainers interact with the audiences trying to make them feel comfortable. This is a place for quietness and definitely a family oriented Hotel . To get the local action and occasional food away from the Hotel, one has to talk with some of the employees to get the "local outdoor action spots". The hotel was relatively clean, it does not hurt to leave a small tip or even speak to the cleaning people..they don't mind small conversations and are also willing to help. we had a not so comfortable bed and it was resolved by the time we came back that evening. I would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone, the location is a little away from the city, however the local bus or taxi was always available. It was well worth the money, time and effort to sort out this Hotel. The hotel seemed to be able to keep the business people away from the vacationers and that was indeed a plus. Flight crews from European Airlines were always there in n out.. This Hotel is a must stay for your next stay !

Let's start with the good, check-in was fast and smooth, room service very good. I was somewhat dissapointed with the room. The walls were clean but the floor, and shower tiles, as well as the area rug were stained. Bathroom was small. The view from 8 fl was nice, but some rooms had a view of old, rusted gas tanks. Beach is small and you have to wait a while for a chair. The surrounding of the hotel is just ugly. The poverty is evident everywhere despite very high prices of everything. Driving over there is not easy - the HWY 7 from the airport to the Hilton in nothing but a very narrow, bumpy street. Lots of shallow pools for kids. The place is quiet afer 7 pm. There are 3 stores at the hotel that close around 6 or 7 pm. Most places seem to close early over there - tourists or not - nobody cares. If you care just for sun and ocean air it might be for you

Hilton Barbados has a perfect location within beach-walking distance of Bridgetown with sea views from every room. The hotel beachfront is better than anything we saw elsewhere on the island. The palm-tree-dotted safe beach with breakers coupled with fantastically landscaped pools and a pool/beach bar offers something for everyone. The hotel has a conference business stream and this can cause breakfast to be overcrowded during certain (narrow)time windows. However, the segregation of the conference people during the day means that the hotel's facilities are nowhere near overutilised and this is a big plus. The Manager's reception on Thursday is a particular treat. The property is well run and the staff are great. You must stay here!

I've been to a dozen hotels in Barbados including prestigious Sandy Lane. While I do like the Crane Hotel which is another fine hotel in Barbados, the Barbados Hilton is the best hotel for business travelers in my opinion. They simply do everything right and every employee takes great care to make sure everything is right. The Barbados Hilton is excellent for holiday and vacation travel as well. Fine restaurants with a mix of continental cuisine and local specialties, fabulous leisure facilities including spa. No nonsense, no excuses.

This was a wonderful experience. Our friends liked what they saw when they visited us in '06, they have already booked for '08. We are truing to get a reservation right now.

This is a very nice resort. The beach is wonderful. The hotel is well maintained. Only areas for improvement are the rooms do not have a bathroom fan, the beds are as hard as concrete and no full length mirror. Also the Hilton restaurant wait staff are very slow by US standards.

I travel alot with work and this hotel is far the best i have stayed in! The rooms are beautiful, which ever room you stay in, you have a lovely view! Food is yummy! Staff are very pleasent. Overall a lovely hotel, very much recommended.

Very nice place. Good views of Bridgetown, the harbor and ocean. Wonderful pools and beach. Loved floating in the pool and watching the ocean. Rooms were nice and staff was, too. Go for it!
