It's no Fiesta @ the Fiesta! Never Again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/3/05
I was fooled by the beautiful entrance! After one day in our room we realized how awful the room was. The room felt cool when we first walked in but then it actually felt and smelled like a swamp cooler. Your clothes and papers will get damp and nothing stays dry. The room was so humid that the bed pillows and blankets were always moist. The shower drain didn't drain properly so we stood in a pool of water as we showered. I have no complaints about the staff /service. The location was fine..your about 10-15 away from down town.

The location was very good. You can walk to alot of places. The pool area needed some work, tiles we broke and missing. The room are a good size and ours was looking onto the beach.

Perfect Hotel
By Paolita, 5/11/05
I was with my family in the Fiesta Americana during the Spring Brake. The people was always ready to help you and please you with a smile. The rooms are inmaculate. It was a real perfect vacation. . We din't take the all inclusive, just the Fiesta Club that includes breakfast and snacks. It's a great choice for who wants to have the freedom of visiting restaurants around the town. We also tried the restaurant of the hotel and the service was 5 stars. I would go again to this hotel. No doubt about.

Overall good, but a few minor quibbles
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/24/05
The Good: - Amazing three-story palapa over the lobby and waterfall create a wonderful ambiance - Great sandy beach with no rocks and good swimming area - Nice pool with lots of chairs and many pool activities for kids and adults - Good location in Hotel Zone (across the street from shopping center and large Gigante market) - Nice spacious rooms, all with balconies facing the ocean The Bad: - We were given a room with two double beds instead of the Queen or King we requested--front desk told us there were no Kings except those without an ocean view - When I requested a room on a higher floor (instead of the 2nd floor room I was assigned) the clerk hesitated a moment as if considering whether it was worth her time to even check, then said the hotel was completely booked already - On the third day of our stay several dozen small ants appeared on our bathroom counter - When checking out towels from the pool stand one day, the attendant mumbled something about "come back in five mintes" even though there was a stack of clean towels right behind her--I had to ask several times why she could give us two of those before she finally relented - The FA's timeshare reps are set up at a table in the lobby outside of the elevators, so you get harrassed about timeshares even in your own hotel - Food in the hotel restaurants is very expensive, although my wife thought the quality was good The quibbles I had would be enough for me to look at staying somewhere else next time I return to Vallarta. I think you could get more value out of staying in a hotel in the Romantic Zone and you

Very Relaxing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/17/04
We visited in October 2004, the weather was very humid and staff didn't seem to notice. The resort wasn't very busy and we seemed to be the most important guests at the resort, service was wonderful. This was our first vist to PV and would definatley go back. We liked not needing a car to get around. We would either walk or call for a cab, we would get the price up front and we never seemed to have a problem. Staff was very helpful in setting up our daily activities. We spent one day diving " V. Adventures" we had a wonderful time.

The finest resort we have ever stayed at
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/26/04
My wife Patsy and myself have had the pleasure of visiting the fiesta americana on four different occasions. Our biggest problem we have is trying to determine which one was the best. Each one seemed to get better than the last. The poolside manners of the staff were second to nobody. I own a hair salon in Madison Wi. I have recommended the Fiesta too so many of my clients. Always upon their next visit to my salon, they would rave over their visit at Fiesta Americana. Thanking me so much for the good tip as where to stay in Puerto Vallarta. We can`t wait until Feb.or March 03 for our 5th visit. Please Don`t book our spot, we love it there.

The Best Place I Ever Stayed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/26/04
The staff was so attentive, warm and friendly the rooms were clean and the hotel`s facilies were enormous. My husband and I went to other places in Mexico and nothing compared to Puerto Vallarta and the Fiesta Americana. We will probably go back there next year.
