wasted 3 weeks

First they gave us a room with view over the main walkway directly to the entrance of the kitchen. Our son was there some days before and asked for a room not on the first floor and as we stayed there before, we thought it would be ok. Well, resulted in that room with the great view first floor.
Next day we waited several hours to move to another room. 3rd floor this time, no problem but the door doesnt open. Over the whole so called vacation time, we needed to go several times each day to the front desk to get the cards charged that supposed to open the door. Later on, one guy from maintenance told us, its not the cards, its the reader. We went with him back to the front desk where they yelled at him and told us to go back to our room, a room change is out of the question. I will not go into so called music yelling at night or the dirt all over, especially in the so called restaurant but if this is the way they treat visitors who come back, how do they treat the ones who come only one time? The years before, it was ok. You get what you pay for - a cheap two star hotel. Now, a spanish chain took the hotel over and it went downhill. I would not go back there even if they would pay for my vacation. That was the first time I was happy to leave Cancun and I went there every year during the last 10 years.
