Unhappy surprise on arrival
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/11
What a disapointment....from the pictures and write up you get the impression this hotel is fully renovated...NOT!! The suite we had was very dated and mediocre at best. Also the standard of service...for what we paid was quite inadequate. This hotel does not say we care, and it certianly won't be my choice for a return visit! I think management needs to take these reviews seriously or they may lose alot of business!

WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/7/10
We were a hockey team coming in from Winnipeg on the May long weekend 2010. The hotel was a hotel designated by the City of Bridges tournament and we had stayed there 2 years ago and had a wonderful experience. This was the worst ever. The hospitality rooms we booked for a cost of $100.00 were only open until 1:00 am and exactly at 1:00 they had a security guard with no personality but bit attitude (who was also extremely racist) try to bounce us out of our room. He was verbally abusive (which we caught on tape and should put on you tube to also show the kind of people this hotel hires). The night staff the evening the secuirty guard was not on duty also dealt with matters with attitude. No one that worked there had any type of personality whatsoever. Even the 19 year old pool boy started to preach to our parents who were sitting there watching their children swim. The people that this hotel hires have NO PERSONALITY and treat people rudely and with a huge attitude. We won't be back EVER and that is 20 familes. Word of mouth is huge in Winnipeg and trust me, we are spreading are really bad experience around to everyone we know. i would rate this hotel a 1 out of 10

Will never stay there again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/4/09
Carpet in room hadn't been cleaned in years; room overlooked an alleyway with garbage bins (entertaining watching the 'garbage-pickers'! At $169.00 per night plus taxes ($180.00 total) we were expecting much more than what we got! Lobby 'under construction' hallways dim and dirty, waterslide appears to require 'refurbishing' - the only good thing about this hotel is the proximity to everything - easy to get around. Talked to some other guests who felt the same as we did! Lots of parking?? We had to park by a Bar/Offsale at the side of the building - did not feel safe. Getting to your room would be a nightmare without the signage telling which Door to take -Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone - very expensive - next time I'll be sure and stay at a different hotel! The reviews I've read are all pretty old - guess nobody else felt they should warn the rest of us - thought I might save somebody else the expense!

Bad experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/20/08
When we phoned for hotel the price was $115.00 , what we were charged was $169.00. We had to phone 3 times for towels none in room. The room beside us was so noisy at midnight we reported it, then again at 1 am, then again 2 am ,then again 3 am , finally after no action, and 2 toddlers awake ,I phone front desk and said i wanted a new room immediately, they switched us room but were very rude about. In morning when we asked to speak to manager they were rude and no one got back to us for 4 days after I called them. They gave us a free night for a future stay. After talking to other people about there stays there we will never stay there again or ever recommend it.

This hotel seemed adequate for our needs, the room and service was fine but there was a lot of noise that weekend in the hotel.

Should Be A Landmark!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/28/05
What is wrong with this place? NOTHING. There was a great waterslide and 2 pools. There was also a huge hot tub. The rooms were huge and nicely decorated. They also had BAY WINDOWS. This is an awesome place and I would advise anyone and everyone to stay here!!
