Shoes & Tie ruined
After the shoe cleaning service returned my cream Chanel shoes with an irreparable brown shoe polish stain, and my husband's tie was returned dirty & dented from sloppy service, (and with a new pen stain), the concierge manager assured us that my shoes would be repaired, and the tie, cleaned a second time. Upper level management took a hands-off approach, leaving us with little sign of remorse.
The shoes were returned in worse condition, and the new stain is remains on my husbands tie. Upper management insultingly offered a ridiculous $150 in compensation for Chanel shoes, and I admantly refused the offer, prefering a settlement with their insurance company.
Overall, Park Hyatt Toronto, management showed very little tactfulness in dealing with their mistakes, and failed to enstil faith in their handling of fine, high-end cleaning services--or, attention to customer service.
