Quest Inn, Winnipeg

I made the unfortunate mistake of staying there a few years ago. At first it seemed great, but almost immediately i noticed that the manager Ken Blair was physically abusing female clients, both physically and mentally handicapped, that were staying there. Then when i stuck up for them, he made my life a living hell. He held my belongings "hostage" until the very last day i was to move out. Then i had little time to pack my stuff, and ended up having to choose what to keep and what to leave behind. He is a racist person who hates First Nations people. In the future, i would not recommend his hotel to anyone. There has to be better accommodations elsewhere.

Disgusting in terms of cleanliness,Completely rude staff and Owner ( Ken Flair? ), Awful food, Loitering vagrants/crack dealers in front lot ( all night ) , No security, Bar in basement is HUGE trouble ( due to -ahem-clientele- IF you can call them that ) But boy did they do a good job on the photos of the place - looks nothing like depicted inside or out - NEVER STAY HERE - EVER

Where to start with a place such as the Quest Inn? The staff are rude, arrogant and confrontational. The food is almost all grease and unhealthy. The location brings its share of homeless and drunk people. And the owner Ken Blair, only made my stay that much more of a headache. In the future I will definitely make other accomodations elsewhere.

This hotel can't make up its mind. Is it a senior's home or a hotel? All meals are from a buffet including breakfast. You can't get a fried egg. There is no room service. Some of the staff don't understand English and insist upon talking amoungst themselves in their own language. If you don't get to the coffee shop during the alloted meal times, you do not eat, you either order out or go down the street to another establishment. During my stay, there were a group of children running in the hall. When I complained, I got the comment "they were only kids.". I have to mention that this was eleven in the evening. The location of the hotel is in central Winnipeg, but, I felt unsafe when I went outside at 9 PM as there was no lights on in the parking lot.

Centraly located, friendly and helpful sta`ff and permanent residents of my generation so I have made several friends during the last four visits, Have found the staff invariably helpful and the rooms and service excellent. Daily cleaning good. In fact they spoil me. Excellent value for money and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Winnipeg.
