3 Stars 4 Seasons
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/14/06
Traveled the world, stayed at many hotels including 4 Seasons and this has to be the property in most need of a renovation.
Great old school hotel for folks who value a hotel by its name and reputation and are willing to overlook the needs of today's traveler.
The building is in need of a facelift unless you are into late mid-century generic architecture and interior design.
SERVICE if it wasn't for the great staff this would barely rank the three stars. From the front door to the desk to the back of house very friendly helpful and willing to go beyond the call of duty. Excellent.
ROOM SERVICE Food quality, poor. Go out.
CONNECTIVITY Beyond poor and overpriced, shameful.
SECURITY BEWARE
Do Not Disturb only means until 3:00PM after which they come into your room and "clean it up." They said this was for the security of their guest in case they are sick or need help. A phone call might suffice, but they didn't do that either. It's all a little dicey with a lame excuse on top of it.
POOL is great, Jacuzzi mediocre and the staff extremely helpful.
Vancouver is one of North America's finest cities in all four seasons, the 4 Seasons should be too.
If you're coming for Vancouver 2010 set your expectations accordingly or look elsewhere.
