The Post Hotel - Something to cheers to
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/17/07
The Post Hotel is an elegant hideaway in the mountains. Reasonably priced and way more then what you pay for. The staff is from every part of the world and is the most friendly staff I have ever encountered. The true diffinition of Luxury. The hotel itself is top of the line but the service is even better. If you want to get away and enjoy your time, this hideaway is the place to do it. Enjoy!

The place is just like the brochure and website
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/5/07
I was there in May of 2007 and the Post Hotel is every bit the best place to stay, eat, drink, and enjoy nature in all of Canada!

Returning soon!
By Nancy, 6/8/07
What a wonderful place to stay. Great location if you prefer to avoid the crowds. A riverview or riverfront cabin is desirable. But this is an adorable luxury lodge with an excellent restuarant. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The rooms are great with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! We would love to bring the whole family up and just relax. Once you are there, make sure you visit Lake Louise (the lake), the gondola ride, and the Columbia icefields.

Deceiving website and grounds
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/24/07
The location is excellent and the grounds are lovely, but the rooms did not live up to the wonderful website pictures or descriptions. I did not sleep during the night and checked out early the next morning even though I had reservations for another day. Some of the outlets did not work, and there was an exposed outlet with no cover in the bathroom. The room was not clean. I itched all over after sleeping on the mattress. There was a gap between the front door and the floor, so I had to put a towel over the gap. The room temperature was either hot or cold. The rooms look like they will have a wonderful view of the Smokies, but most of the rooms are at the back of the building. I did not feel safe and will not stay at this establishment again.

The best in the Lake Louise area
By Joe Jay, 1/15/07
One of the nicest aspects of this hotel is its location--across the river from boring old Sampson Mall. Why is this an advantage? If you have ever stayed at either Lake Louise or Moraine Lake, you will know why. You don't have to fight the thousands of tourists that visit these lakes every day. Yet, you are close enough to visit these lakes early enough in the morning to avoid the horrible traffic jams that start by 10:30. That's just the beginning--beautiful rooms, a wonderful indoor pool and spa, a great day spa, and great service service make this a great place to stay. But all of this pales in comparison to the restaurant. This is one of the best places I have ever dined. It comes equiped with the cigar room attached! If you are into great wines, this is definitely the place for you! Hint--if you don't like listening to the Canadian Pacific trains rumble through the night, reserve a room that faces the river.

Best Hotel in Lake Louise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/1/07
We have been traveling to Lake Louise for over 15 years, before we were married and later with our children. We have stayed at most hotels in the area, and our favorite by far is the Post. The facility is luxurious in an understated Swiss way, and the service is equally fabulous. And we can't say enough about the dining room and wine list. Try it -- you won't be disappointed!
