Nice Hotel, Lousy Location
I stayed at The Blackfoot Inn because that's where my company put me. It is near our office, in a very industrial area. There is NOTHING around (within walking distance), so if you don't have a car, you're basically stuck at the hotel. There is a mall, the Chinook Centre, about 1-2 miles away. Definitely not walking distance in the winter!
I had breakfast at Green's Restaurant each morning. The food was good...but what impressed me more was that the waitresses remembered me (and my order) after just one morning. They were friendly and quick with service.
Room Service was also quick and friendly.
The rooms were comfortable, but nothing special; just an average hotel room.
If you're looking to stay in the hub of Calgary, this is not the place; however, if it's close to your final destination, then it's decent enough.
