WONDERFUL INN
By Julie S, 1/5/12
This Inn must be under new management. We saw none of the problems posted from others. We were greeted with a very warm welcome. We had a very nice experience both with the staff and the room. I would recommend this Inn to anyone. They also have free breakfast.

Turn around and run !!!!
By Chele, 2/26/10
Worst motel we had ever been at. Got a room that was not cleaned. Towels on floor, bed not made, trash everywhere. Asked for another room which they reluctanly gave us. Said it was a no smoking room. Ashtrays were in room and no sign on door. Manager called room and said she did not want us there and would refund our money and if we did not leave, said she would call the law. Go to Motel 6 - They were much friendlier and room was clean.

Pay cash only!!
By Barbara, 6/27/09
The room was ok but the A/C worked sporadically. The last night we were there, we had to pay the nights bill with a debit card-they charged $125 to the card and the room rate we paid was $60.51. Still waiting for a refund-wonder if we'll ever see it. Also, if you want something else besides the bare bones version of a motel, stay elsewhere.

Well... it has a roof.
By James, 1/22/09
Clean freaks stay away! I've stayed here several times in the last year due to proximaty to a work site, price and/or everything else was booked. It's old and a bit of a dive. In one room the carpet turned my feet black from walking between the bed and the bathroom. I complained and they said they would have it shampooed but who knows if they ever had it done. The walpaper is coming off of the wall in some places. You get lots of bikers during Sturgis. Some of the heaters and air conditioners are really noisy. Many non-smoking rooms smell like smoke. TV reception stinks in many rooms. Playing with the connection worked in some rooms and not in others. Stair and walk areas *never* get cleaned. (at least remove the gum!) They gave me a room that hadn't been serviced. I complained and received a different room. The door to one room was coming off the hinges. Billing seems erratic. You may receive charges days later, on the first of multiple days, ???? The bed clearly needed replaced in one room. General upkeep is just plain bad! On the positive side: internet speed is very good Bigger rooms than the Motel 6. It was cleaner this year than the times I stayed there last year but YMMV. Many rooms have a fridge and microwave if you ask for them. I've never seen hair in the tub after at least 5 visits. If they ever actually clean the place it would be passable. They got rid of the desk attendant with all the piercings and tattoos.

Unethical and Rude staff!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/30/08
We stayed 1 night for Frontier Days. Had a reservation which had a confirmed price. They had no paperwork at checkin. Room had hair in the tub and sheets where not clean. Luckily, we had blankets in the car and laid them out on the bed, just to get some sleep. Upon checkout I was told that there was balance of $21. I refused to pay and asked for a reciept. The desk called someone and they stated it would be taken care of and a reciept would be mailed. Well No receipt, they charge the additional $21. I attempted to contact the manager for the last week, she/he was never there. I contacted Choice Hotels, who I made the reservation through, they told me I had to deal with the hotel directly. Today.... I received a person who stated they were the manager: Tara Kupec. She was rude and would not listen as she stated that it is Choice Hotels issue since they put the reservation in there system wrong. I asked for a copy of their documentation to be faxed to me. While giving her the number, she said" here you take this" and the person at the desk came on the phone. I asked to speak back to "Tara", he stated she did not have time. I asked for her last name, he stated he did not know. I then told him to put her back on the phone and have her give me her last name. She got back on the phone and stated "what now?" I asked for her last name.......she paused and stated just a minute, then spelled out " K U P E C". She then hung up on me. Basically getting the run around. If anyone else has had this happen, maybe a class action law suit is in order.

Rude and unprofessional staff!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/30/08
On vacation with my family we arrived around 10:30 PM on July 19th and found no one at the front desk. Waited for at least 10 minutes before attempting to call the hotel to try and reach an employee. While dialing the number a girl name Megan finally came in. She was very rude and looked suspicious, like she was caught doing something she shouldnt. Refused to make eye contact the entire time. When asked what took so long she said she was helping another customer. The reservations were made by my parents. But, when I found out this was a Choice Privileges hotel I asked if the information could be change to my name a credit card so I could take advantage of my rewards membership. Megan would not change the account information and said they would take care of it in the morning. 7:00 AM the next morning continental breakfast bar was not stocked. Front desk and housekeeping staff were outside smoking. We had to go out and ask them for more food. They sent a very young new employee to do it and laughed about making him work. When staff finished their smoke break they proceeded to make breakfast for themselves right in front of us! Checkout took well over 30 minutes! Blamed a system upgrade for the computer problems. They couldnt or wouldnt change the billing over to my name and card. Didnt even get a legit receipt for the nights stay. I left my contact info with them and was told we would receive the receipt when the technical difficulties were taken care of. Two weeks later and I am still waiting. By far the most unprofessional hotel staff I have ever seen. I can guarantee you my family and I will never stay at that hotel again. Take my advice. Spend a few extra bucks and stay somewhere else!

YUCK - YUCK - YUCK!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/1/07
This was by far the worst place my family has ever stayed. We booked this motel for Frontier Days because it was the only one left. We should of just stayed in Michigan!! When we checked in our room was not clean. There was the prior guests "hair" on the bathroom floor, toothpaste in the sink, stains on the sheets etc. I asked for another room and to my disgust it was the same. The manager told us he would clean our room so we left for dinner. We came back and the room was semi clean. We stayed two nights, much to our despair and I could of swore there were bugs biting me during the night. I wore my shoes everywhere I went around the room. The manager said he would give us a discount, but I just received our credit card bill and NO DISCOUNT was ever given. Whatever you do - DO NOT STAY HERE! It made coming to WY a nightmare. So much for a fun family vacation.

Stay Away!!!
By ooooo, 8/7/07
STAY AWAY!!! We mistakenly booked a room here during Cheyenne Frontier Days, 07/2007, and this place gouged us for $150 a night!!! It was like staying in a condemned flophouse. The place is literally falling apart. There is filth everywhere. After they lost their franchise from Quality Inns, they should have shut this place down. The bathroom was not cleaned after the previous occupant left, and the sheets were questionable. The conditions were deplorable. Our keys had to be reset 3 times during our stay requiring a long walk back and forth from the office to our rooms. Someone should tear this place down and put up a decent motel at this choice location.

The worst hotel/motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/12/07
We were a group of about 15 women playing in a golf tournament and made reservations for a 2 nights stay at this place - bad choice. Rooms were not cleaned, dust balls on the floor, beds not made (due to "personal items being on the bed and housekeeping is not allowed to touch any personal items"), vanities not cleaned (same reason as for beds?), wet towels, which we had put on the floor after showering, were they re-folded and put back on the rack (?) - they were wet when we returned after our our golf round. The "breakfast" consisted of many days old hard boiled eggs (they were green), stale English muffins and terrible coffe. Only good thing about the breakfast was the cans of V8 juice and bottles of OJ. According to the manager 7 of his 8 house keeping staff did not show up for work that day - obviously a sign of how he runs the place. Treat people well, and they will come to work. Treat your guests well and they will return. I guarantee neither of us will be back at this dump next year. I have stayed at other motels in similar price range and gotten clean rooms, bed made inspite of "personal items", fresh baked goods and daily made hard boiled eggs. We do not recommend this place.
