Clarion Hotel Gillette, Gillette

The restaurant pasta was that I ordered had no flavor and was the size of Romen noodles! They charged way to much for! The bartender was very rude, I asked if anyone was sitting in some chairs at the bar because there was a few emty glasses remaining! She said will an angry tone "there probly was someone sitting there and slammed a cupboard"! Very rude and wouldnt stay there! We left and got a very nice updated room right across the street un which I would recommend!

The Clarion Inn in Gillette WY is a terrible place to stay & I wouldn’t recommend it to an enemy. This review could go on for days but I will keep it short & sweet. The management is rude and have no idea what they are doing. The front desk staff didn’t even know we were in our room claiming we “checked out at 3am”. The housekeepers didn’t even knock they just let themselves into our room twice. The whole hotel reeks of chlorine yet is filthy and run down. The Restaurant, Bootleggers, where we had a wonderful waitress was a rip off and the food was mediocre. Do not stay at this hotel. They aren’t there to accommodate you as a customer all they care about is getting paid.

Good location and a nice bar. Air/Heat doesnt work properly and there hot water is never hot.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS ONE!! I too never leave reviews, however, I feel that other people who are considering this hotel should be warned. I am not an overly fussy person, but do expect to have a clean room. We attended the PGI Convention last week, (8-8-08 to 8-16-08) and were very very very disappointed with this hotel. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO GILLETTE due to the horribly high rates for an awful awful room. They supposedly gave us a discount off of the original rate of $185.00 to $129.00..and really, if we had somewhere else to go, I would have gone!! Literally ran!! Everything was booked due to the convention being in town. First off, we had to move 3 times because the first two rooms were a mess and SMELLED urine and feces!! The second room leaked coolant into the bathroom also. They told us the green liquid was NOT coolant, however, my husband is a plumber and A/C tech and knows what coolant is. It leaked all over my make-up and other toiletries.. Even after we were moved AGAIN, the "final" room still had an awful odor, and this was supposed to be one of their "remodeled rooms". Their solution..left us with a can of air freshener. The jacuzzi was disgusting. The water was BROWN, and finally on Thursday they totally drained it. So, needless to say, we did not use either the pool or jacuzzi. They were remodeling??? and we only saw a mess, no work being done. Our room did have newer carpet, however, I tripped 4 times on the carpet in the hallway, as it was all wavy. The ice maker on the first floor was not in working order and the maid told us it has been broken form at least 6 months. We contacted the manager, all to no avail. She replied that they were remodeling, but really... clean the darn rooms and the pool and jacuzzi!! There was one housekeeper that was very helpful, and she was the only one. Really folks...run from this low class hotel that charges first class rates. We picked this hotel because they are the highest price hotel in Gillette, and silly me, I thought..hmmm..highest price must be the nicest. OBVIOUSLY I was wrong. The general concenses of the other PGI participants who stayed at this Gillette Clarion was that we all got took. We expected a nice clean room and full amenities..and got zero. I have had a much nicer rooms at $39.00 than the price of $185.00 at the Clarion In Gillette, WY. I do intend to contact Clarion headquarters. Dirty Smelly Rooms..Awful Service, High Rates=Bad Stay. I have never taken the time to write a review, but I must tell my story. After the stress of Great Lakes loosing my bags and having to teach OSHA Safty Training w/in three hours of my flight getting to Gillette. I arrived at the Clarion and mentioned my situation the front desk, and asked them to let me know if the airport called for me. The manager of the Bootlegger's Grill & meeting facility (Debbie) w/in the hotel came and asked if she could help me out with anything? I told her ya "can you go buy me an outfit my bags were lost"? She said yes I can, we both laughed and she went on her way. Forty five minutes later she came back to the meeting room with a profesional looking outfit that fit me to perfictly. I didn't think she would really go and do this. Thanks Debbie!!! I spend over a 100 nights in hotels and this staff impressed me. They must have a solid support staff. Jane Lindstrom

When I checked in I thought I was paying a little to much, But this place is nice. Two full bars and a great Italian restaurant. The front dest staff was very nice and helpfull. The rooms are nice and smell new.

My room was fresh,new and clean. Staff was fantastic in helping me pull a power point presentation together when my laptop computer crashed. Thank you Clarion Staff you are the best!! Joe Zigler

Lots of space for our family. We had 20 rooms for our family reunion. We were treated like Kings and Queens from the staff. Our children had so much fun. The pool area accomidated our group with out overshadowing the other guests. The banquet food was hot, fresh, and tasty.

I paid a little much, but it was worth it! The rooms have been up dated and are very clean. Every employee has a smile and must enjoy working there. The Italian restraunt has great food and will bring it to your room as room service.

Very clean hotel! My kids love tho pool, It is very easy to keep an eye on the kids. Very nice I talain Restaurant! Thanks for the great stay!
