Excellent Place to Stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/13/10
Before staying at Goff Creek, I spoke with the owner Seven to ensure that we would be in a large enough cabin (#6/#7): They had it available for $250.00 a night. He checked the date of our visit and assured me we would. We arrived very late the first day, but there was note for us and a key for our cabins. We awoke the next morning to an excellent breakfeast and good company: We did not take in the Chuck Wagon dinners which WERE available because we spent the day at Yellowstone. The Cabin(s) accomendations were clean and really quite. The location was great because it was close to the river for fly fishing PLUS they offered horse back riding. The meals were very reasonable priced and the food was great. I would recommend this place to anyone. The owner is very personable and the staff are excellent. We visited in August 2009.

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/16/09
1st - the place is well over priced for the dirty accommodations. 2nd - the quality of the food was not worth the price & there was NO complimentary breakfast like my wife was told. 3rd - they don't clean under the beds. 4th - well over priced 5th - not good for the handicapped They are other things as well - so look elsewhere

No Chuckwagon Dinner
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/14/07
Before staying at Goff Creek, I spoke with the owner to ensure that we would be able to enjoy the Chuckwagon Dinner. He checked the date of our visit and assured me we would. We left Yellowstone early in order to make it to Goff Creek in time for the Chuckwagon Dinner. The place was quiet and we were told that there would be no Chuckwagon Dinner and the kitchen was closed for the day for a planned staff outing. The few staff left behind did open the kitchen and we had a nice, although overpriced, meal. The cabin was cute and rustic, though not very clean. It lacked the promised coffee maker and the refrigerator had dried milk all over the shelf. There were few towels and getting more was a challenge. The roll-away and fold-out beds were smelly and it took four hours plus three requests to get the roll-away. The bed linens were very worn. I am not a prissy person, but this just wasn't up to the standard I would expect for the price. There are several other resorts in the area that are similar. I would check them out rather than stay at Goff Creek again.

Beware of Goff Creek Lodge!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/27/07
The pictures on the web site are very deceptive and make the lodge appear much more remote than it actually is. It's directly off of the highway! The cabins were very close together and somewhat disappointing. Our cabin was smaller than we anticipated and it did not have a/c or heat. We had to rely on space heaters for heat at night. The bedding was mix matched and aged and we did not have enough towels when we arrived. The food was expensive for the quality they provided. I love dogs, but I don't believe they should be allowed in the kitchen! The horseback rides were okay, but I was disturbed by the manner in which the wrangler was treating the horses. I felt like he was not very concerned for our or the animals' safety. I would not recommend this place to anyone! There are numerous other places to stay if you want to be near the East entrance of Yellowstone.

AWFUL Lodge
By Alexis, 07/03/07
Normally, I don't write negative things whenever I stay at a place, but Goff Creek Lodge has managed to change my thinking. This is by far the worst I have ever stayed in. The rooms were very dirty and the furniture was very dated. They placed no emphasis on making your stay comfortable. The amenities (if you has any) were downright horrible. Seriously, take my advice. DO NOT STAY HERE. You would be better off staying at Bill Cody ranch which is outstanding or Shoshone Lodge.

very over priced!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/21/06
When we made reservations I was told that we would get a cabin with 2 bathrms and that the cabins were very nice. When we arrived the office was locked and we had to go hunting for someone to check us in. Turns out that they changed our room to a small cabin with one bath(charged same price $119per night), only 2 lamps in the room, shower curtain was moldy,no screen in bathroom window so we couldn't open the window to get some air(no a/c). The food was overpriced($17.95 for grill chick). The dog was allowed in the kitchen. Our room was not cleaned nor was our towels replaced after the first night. No one in the office.Had to go looking for someone to give us clean towels. No one in office to check us out. Had to go looking for someone again!Only good point was that it is close to Yellowston(6mi)and we didn't spend much time there execpt to sleep! Would not stay here again. OK if you like very rustic and expensive!

Excellent Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/05
Excellent location to the East entrance to Yellowstone NP, staff is extremely friendly and flexible for your needs. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere to get away from city/suburb life. They have ~20 horsesin the corral and you can arrange for jeep tours and other activities.
