Never again!! wish we hadn't stopped here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/21/10
Searched entire building for an ice machine -- none to be found called for directions was sent two buildings down to one outside that did not work. Had to search tehe entire complex to find one that worked -- multiple buildings away - 45 minuted to find ice. Wanted a nice hot bath - could only get warm water. Bedfore booking we verified that our room had internet - as I needed it for work. Wireless internet was VERY VERY VERY VERY SLOW. Asked for a cord to hook up to wored internet - still too slow to be able to do any work. Wasted FOUR HOURS trying to get the internet to work. Was unsucessful. Do not stay here -- go to a neighboring town.

a week at little america
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/24/08
My boyfriend and i stayed at this hotel for a week in june. We drove 17 hours to get to Cheyenne, when i walked into the lobby of the hotel, i was over whelmed. I was wearing sweat pants and a tank top so i could be comfortable on the drive, but felt very inappropriately dressed when arriving. It was beautiful, very elegant and fancy. Our room was also very nice, big, and clean. I loved the flat screen tv. The only two things i didnt care for in the room were the hard beds and the bath tub, other than that it was impresive. The first couple days of our stay there, was really nice. When we ordered room service, it was brought up really quickly and the food was very good. But then on the fourth day my boyfriend out of the room and i was there by myself, i had just taken a shower and was in my robe, when some guy walked in.... they had double booked our room! It was really embarressing and when we talked to the front dest about it, they didnt even offer up an appology. When we went to visit the resturaunt in the hotel, it was also very fancy, and the food was good for the price, however the service we got was far from good. The last night we ordered room service and it took an hour and 15 minutes to get to us when they told us it would only take 20 to 25 minutes. Overall, the hotel had lots of potential with its gorgeous lobby and rooms, but was dissapointing when it came to service.

Will return next time
This was our first time to stay at this hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. Rates are competitive with comparable hotels (or even better). Rooms are large, quiet and very clean. Our room had 2 very comfortable queen beds and a plasma TV on the wall. Bathroom is very large, and also has a sink outside the bathroom. Grounds at the hotel are beautiful and well landscaped. Only negative was when we first checked in we were given a room that had not been cleaned. We were promptly given another room. Didn't care for the restaurant there. We had breakfast at the hotel, and we all wanted the buffet, but we had to stand there a LONG time waiting for the cook to show up to make the omelets (had to ask someone to go get her), and then she was not friendly at all. In fact, I would call her very grouchy. The waitress was not friendly either, and we had to ask someone else for refills on coffee, as she had disappeared. Took forever to get our bill. Skip the restaurant. It's overpriced for the service and quality of food you get (pancakes were cold).

Disappointed!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/3/06
Kids and I are regular visitors to Cheyenne, as an escape from the Denver area. We had never stayed at this Little America location before, but the kids have always wanted to, mostly because of the pool. I love the atmoshpere, restaurant, fireplace, and to some extent the giftshops. Finally decided to do it this weekend. Kids were excited! We hit Walmart first to pick up some beachballs to use in the pool. But, when we got there, it was obvious the place was undergoing a renovation. The main building, which includes the lobby, giftshop and restaurants was torn up. The front desk was in a makeshift location. They'd had a computer crash, and as such were not able to provide room keys at the time. We decided to look elsewhere. I understand renovations, but they could have told me about that when I made the reservations, and let me make the decision THEN. The front desk staff was very understanding (seems they'd been taking a lot of heat from other guests and potential guests), so when they told me it would be finished next time, I kept the "if there is one" to myself. Very bad customer relations to let people make reservations, show up, and then find out that some of the best features of the property are out of commission. Definitely bad enough to make up for what is a fine facility. This is not the first time we've had issues with Little America. On a previous stay at their Little America, Wyoming location, they promised internet access, which was not there. Upon check in, I was informed "but we're working on it". Another time, I made reservations for adjoining rooms, which they weren't, and didn't get as much as an apology.

This is the place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/12/05
I liked everything at this Hotel/Resort. The landscaping was beautiful with the pine trees surronding the Hotel and the rooms were fantastic. I never slept so good anywhere that we stayed during our two weeks of traveling as the beds were very comfortable. The cafeteria where we ate breakfast was wonderful and the dining room where we ate dinner was very good. There was a very large beautifully landscaped swimming pool there that our Grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed. When we left the following morning, my Wife had forgotten her cell phone and we were an hour down the road already when she discovered that it was missing. She called and talked to Debbie at the Hotel and she found the phone and sent it via the mail to an address that we were going to. That is service beyond the call of duty. I highly recommend this particular Hotel. We will surely stay there again on our next trip through Wyoming.

Wonderful staff, wonderful getaway place. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Location is great as it is off the highways enough that you don't get any noise.

Mellow night in Little America
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/28/05
I liked the setting overall. The area we stayed at was nice and the room was spacious with a nice view from the room. The only problems we ran into were the bathtub drain. The water wouldn't go down and we tried to lift the drain up a little to see if something became stuck while trying to drain, and the whole 'contraption' came out and we called the front desk but when we arrived back in the room that night, the problem persisted.
