Holiday Inn Campus Area, Eau Claire

We had our wedding reception here last month and felt very confident that everything would be taken care of after meeting with Jeanne in Sales several times over the course of a year and a half. When the day of our wedding arrived we were very disappointed with the quality and service that we received. They did not reserve tables for our parents, grandparents and ushers like we requested and as a result had to kick people out of the nearest tables so that these people had a place to eat! I had to go to the front desk in order to find someone to uncover the food so that people could start eating! We had to hunt down the manager to get a knife to cut our cake (which they said they would provide!) and to clear the tables off of the dance floor so that our dance could begin (45 minutes late!)! I was so busy running around getting things fixed that I hardly got a chance to mingle and talk with my guests, many of whom drove several hours to attend our wedding! Overall, I would highly discourage anyone in the area from having a wedding at this location!

I liked that the Green Mill was connected to it and the pool was a nice size. The staff wasn't that friendly. What I had a problem with the price for the room and the room conditions. The room looked awful with scratch marks all over the door frames and furniture, the walls were all banged up, and there was garbage found under the bed, on the desk, and in some drawers. It looks nice from the outside, but when you get inside it's a different story.

The place is very noisy. Vey poor sound proofing. The clerks couldn't find my reservations. Also it dirty. Probably reflects the quality of the clients.

The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Food was great. Had meetings as well, banquet rooms are comfortable and high speed internet is excellent!!!
