Towne House Motor Lodge, Charles Town

Location is great bus pickup to the track. Dislikes: furniture old and worn, TV service went out and stayed out after first evening and no attempt to fix it, and no breakfast bar.

have stayed several times, a lot better than some in the area, price is reasonable and locaton is excellent

I decided to go to Charles Town Races and Slots to celebrate my 21st birthday, knowing we would be drunk, we needed a place to stay, and this hotel did the job! We arrived late, and after finding out every hotel near the casino was booked, or too trashy for the price, This IS the best deal if you cannot afford the 4-5 star hotels. The room was cozy, had a slight mildew smell though that was the only bad part, and I had noticed the build in heat/ac had what appeared to be mildew or mold growing inside, however I could no pick it out even though I tried. I sprayed disinfectant in it and air freshener in the room and it was better :) The only fault I had with this room was I am personally a clean freak and had to wipe and sanitize everything to my approval. The motel also has a restaurant on site, we did not go in or eat there, however they did have quite a few customers. They also have a small (3-6ft) pool that was fenced and closed at night (we tried to get in after the kids got out haha, but it was locked) We paid about $80 for one night in the room in the pictures. (I posted the current ones, I do not know if it will change by the time you read this.) But the motel was near lots of fast food restaurants, gas stations, and a grocery store. We only found one liquor store and it closed at 8 :( but lucky us, in West Virginia 7-11s & Sheetz sell alcohol! :) We left to go to the Casino around 10pm and we had the bus from the casino pick us up at the hotel office, it was free and it comes by every 1/2 hour. It was a sat. and we were told the bus was running all night until shift change at about 6am, so we were good. The trip was a blast, and the Hotel is recommended!

Liked this motel very much. Close to race track, and nice restraunt, with good food. They have good service, and very friendly and helpful. They have their own restruant, and pool. Yhey have smoking and non-smoking rooms. You should make a reseveration. It is located just across from race track.

It is very close to the casino. As others have said it is not a 5 star hotel but for the price it is very good. Always clean, just needs some remodeling.

It may not be a 5 star hotel but you’re not paying 5 star prices! The staffs are friendly and courteous the rooms are clean. The location is great right across from the horse track and casino and a few minutes to the car and motorcycle track (summit point) there are plenty of places to eat around the area. This is a nice motel for a good nights sleep.

Wonderful place to stay very clean. always feel very welcomed and very friendly staff and helpful.Will continue to go here and stay if possible every time i come back to charles town west virginia. Thanks,jennifer
