Econo Lodge Near Bluefield College, Bluefield

We checked in to the motel, every thing was fine. On the 12th we added another day. When we checked our bank account there was $560.00 charged to my account. The total of the bill should have been 171.00. We inquired about the charge and was promptly told they didn't charge us that much and produced a receipt showing 171.00. We waited till morning to speak with the asst. manager. When asked about the charge she explained it was there policy to put a hold on the extra. We signed a receipt for 171.00 not 560.00, nor was it explained to us when we checked in that this would happen.My husband is a disabled Vet and this "Hold" on the extra money left us with less than 50.00 to feed my husband and 10 year old child. I went down again to try to get this taken care of and the manager told us we needed to leave now or pay for another night. We traveled to Bluefield for my daughters wedding. Needless to say my daughter was upset to the point of tears. This was suppose to be a wonderful event and it turned into the weekend from hell.

There was just a small stream of water in the bathtub the morning of our stay. During the night there were people outside using foul langange.
