Ocean Crest Resort, Moclips

The bathroom sink was hanging off the wall. The shower would scald without warning. The fireplace smoke backed up into the room. Even when not lit ,the fireplace filled the room with the smell of burnt garbage. Pealing paint, thin walls, no remote for DVD player, 19 inch TV, and 70's decor. When I complained about the sink and fireplace another guest told me his fireplace vented smoke into his room as well. Staff told me "I hope the rest of you trip was good". Well, we didn't die in our sleep from the smoke because we left windows open, I guess that is a sucess. I sent an e-mail listing the problems and never received a response. All this for a price that left me feeling cheated.

I loved the view from the resturant & the food was terrific. 5 stars for the food! The food was high quality & well worth the price. It was a nice place to stay with our dogs & we will stay again soon.

We picked this place to meet our wives after a cross country motorcycle trip. They flew out and rented a car and met us here. Thought the walk to beach was nice little adventure. Room was clear. Our neighbors were the other couple so did not have wall problem. We did not hear them. Thought the restaurant was very nice, it is expensive. Breakfast was great and the view is wonderful. I do agree that there is no privacy on balconies. On and all both couples loved the place. Careful bar is very overpriced.

This is a lovely resort. The Ocean view suites are an incredible value. Bedroom with 2 King Beds, Sitting Room, nice bathrooms, kitchenette with stove, oven, apartment size refrigerator, sink, dishes, silver and everything you need to prepare great meals, unbelievable views, wonderful service, great restaurant and gift shop. This place is a Gem.

My wife and I went here for our 10th Anniversary and now I think well be back for all of our Anniversaries! The "Majestic View" from our 2nd story room looking out into the beautiful Pacific ocean was simply "AMAZING" and the sounds of the ocean were both soothing & relaxing! The staff was went out of there way to ensure that our Anniversary was very special. We were also able to take in some of the local scenery & entertainment around the area and was absolutely astonished of what this area has to offer! The dinner at the Ocean Crest Restaraunt with its amazing view of some of Washingtons great "Old growth" Firs outlining the "Gourgeous" Pacific coastline gives you the Backdrop of a stunningly delicous dinner for both myself and my wife. The overall vacation package was well worth the price of admission and we will be back soon.........VERY SOON!

We really like the Moclips area, but this hotel sits high up on a cliff and is not easy to walk to beach. We were in a dog friendly room and it was very run down and the walls were paper thin. The decks have no privacy. There was a group next to us that must of had 12 people staying and 20 partying. This room had a maximum of 6. This room was also 1/4 mile away from the main lodge where all the facilities are located. Who wants to drive to a pool or hot tub? I will never stay in this hotel again. I think there are much better options in the area for overpriced amount we paid.
