good hotel, not so good service.

I stayed as a group with my high school. There was also another large group from another high school staying there. Considering it was a Saturday morning with a lot of hungry teenagers, I would think the hotel would plan for a lot of food for breakfast. The continental breakfast food was gone before 7:30 A.M. when it was supposed to be available until 10:00 A.M. I imagine this could easily have been avoided with planning but the hotel did not seem to care.
I also accidentally left my phone charger in my room when we checked out. We came back a few hours later for dinner in Ellensburg, I went to the hotel to see if they found the charger and it had not been reported and was not found in the room when checked. The people at the front desk, however, seemed very friendly and helpful. They took down my name, phone number, and room number. They told me they would try to find it and would call me with the results. I got a call within two days and someone left a voicemail on my phone saying they found the charger and needed my address and they would send it to me, no problem. I called back as soon as possible, gave them my address and waited for the charger to arrive. Within two weeks, it never came so I called the hotel they said they would check on it and call me back. They never called back so I tried again the next day and they said someone would call me in the morning. No one ever called and no one seemed to want to help me. I gave up trying and bought a new phone charger a month later only to get a package two days later C.O.D. it cost 8 dollars to recieve the package.
Judging from my experience at this hotel, the first impression of the service was great but followup and delivery failed greatly. Nice, clean hotel, but don't expect anything more than the basics.
