Horrible Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/15/09
The price is like Canyon Ranch but the service is like Travel Lodge meets TGI Fridays. I was embarrassed watching 20 yr old waiters stutter over the specials. I never did get my room cleaned. Nice view, though.

Wonderful Spa Getaway
By travelinthru93, 5/30/08
It is rustic yet clean...very comfortable...gorgeous surroundings...relaxing restaurant atmosphere...food good....spa amazing! I love the rooms but have also stayed in the cabins for my mom's 60th birthday get aways and loved the cabins too. Make sure to check out the specials on their web site...it is the best way to get the biggest bang for your buck. I have been there three times in the past two years...LOVE IT!

Continuew to be a fablous vacation spot
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/7/07
I've been visiting the Alderbrook Inn all my life, it's been through many changes and is now a 5 star hotel, beautiful rooms looking over beautiful Hood Canal. The grounds are lush, food was great and the service was friendly. After 50 years, it's still one of my favorite spots.

Stunning!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/22/05
I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it is. The setting is gorgeous. Our room was great with a view of the water and the inner courtyard that is open to the canal. The food was good too. We planned on spending some cash and we did, but I’ve spent more before and not enjoyed the ambiance near as much. I think it’s a great place to get away from the city and it’s only 90 minutes from Seattle.

Too much for too little
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/12/05
The pool made my skin itch for a good two hours after I was done there. The food was "ok", service was fine. The room was nice. not quite what I expected for paying that much.

Gorgeous views!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/8/05
Love the rooms with balconies and patios. They seem larger and have more spacious accommodations than those without. In my last voyage to Alderbrook, I had a smaller room with a corner soaking tub. It worked well as a shower, but I wonder how effective it would be as a "soaking experience". Still, the location is breathtaking on a sunny day and they a \re gradually increasing their services--for example, the spa is now opened and they were opening a small gift shop the weekend after I was there. I have not stayed int he cottages and do not have enough information to be helpful. However, I intend to return for the glorious immersion on the banks of the Lower Hood Canal. Breathtaking!
