Richmond Mariott, Richmond

The room is akin to any other hotel at half the price, but the service and location cannot be beat. The multitude of staff personnel seem eager to please, and yet they are not incessently staring at you waiting for tips. Plus, the heart of downtown is at your fingertips!

Overall i have no complaints. The service was great.The hotel was clean, The staff was great and the mattress on the bed was the ABSOLUTE BEST. So good i called back to have the name.

The hotel was beautiful inside but the location is terrible. One block from the hotel you will see homeless people. I think the hotel is too expensive for the location and the service was ok.

Not the best front desk service, staff was not very friendly. Check in was quite an ordeal. Rooms were clean The restaurants were okay Doors from the parking lot should be 508 compliant to accomodate the handicapped.

when i came to check in the hotel there was alot of people in line, so i sat to the side and waited which was fine... the valet staff greeted me and asked was i okay, the concierge also asked did i need any help. they were great but when i got up to the front desk the young lady was very rude to me. i just hated her attitude. now i called to see when was a good time to check in, i was told 4:00. i got there at 5:00 and the lady at the front desk had an attitude "am i checking you in or are you just standing there?" i was shocked that she said such things. i had 2 rooms and after being informed that they were not ready i asked well when will they be ready and she says in a sassy tone and ill manner "i cant answer that question right now so you have to wait!" i was so upset but i was there on business so had to deal with it... my room was great when it was finally ready at 6:45

it is in my top 5 hotels that i have stayed at.the service makes you fill right at home.it is also real clean.the faculity was real professinal and every thing was in place.

The hotel is very pretty and the rooms are well decorated which includes the aromatherapy shampoos. The people were very friendly and curteous. They actually brought the tourist info up to our room for us! The restaurant was quite pricy, but the food was good so it was almost worth eating in the hotel. The only problem was that they charged you for Internet access. Overall, the experience was really great!

Richmond needs additional competition to bring this Marriott up to the level of others citing similar amenities. Just not what you expect from this Hotel chain.
