Travelodge Richmond, Richmond

What an aweful place....the floor in our room saged everytime we walked on it, the room was dirty and smelly. The front desk folks were very nice, however the manager was a very nasty man. I would sleep in my car before I ever stay here again.

When I tried to check in, I was informed my reservation had been canceled by the Travelodge central office. I was given no advance notice, and no rooms were available. Since my room was prepaid, I still do not know any viable reason why my reservation was canceled. I am supposed to be getting my money back from Yahoo Travel, but it has required a tremendous effort on my part (calling almost every day), and I'm not sure yet that I'm going to actually get it.

- friendly lobby staff - not a family friendly area, did not feel safe, may be, its me !! - old mattress, fixtures... I am not coming back, unless, I need a motel room for 1-2 hours ;)

I will never stay at another Travelodge. We arrived after driving 6 hours (2:00 AM)on the day after Thanksgiving to find that that the room was not clean, the heater did not work, the remote for the TV didn't function, the bathtub was actually peeling along with the wall paper. Room had not been vacuumed and there were no towels. Upon waking up the next moring, the bathroom had an inch of water in it! When checking out we told the receptionist about the problem and all she said was that she thought that problem was taken care of. The only truth to the pictures on the internet was the lobby. It was beautiful, however, if we would have arrived earlier we would never had spent the night in that deplorable room. It is a disgrace to allow these types of rooms to be rented.
