Better to sleep in your car
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/10
We had to get a room here as a last resort. My husband is a welder and was on a job here and every other room around was sold out. We were there for a week and paid the week in advance. The first room they put us in was FILTHY, like someone was squatting in it. We complained and they moved us to another room and told us for that night it was the only room available. It was terrible. The floor was wet, the smell was like someone died.
The next morning they moved us to yet another room, it was a little better than the others but we had constant calls and knocks on the door at all hours of the night from people trying to buy drugs. We checked out of the room and found another room 20 miles from where my husband had to work, and the manager agreed to refund our money due to all the trouble we had BUT they had no way to issue us a refund and promised to send a check. We have now been fighting for three weeks for 100 dollars. All we have gotten is a total and complete run around. We would have been better off pitching a tent or sleeping in our car.
The service was terrible, the rooms were disgusting, we were lied to and jerked around. I would not wish my worst enemy to stay a night here. I would not give this motel even 1/8th of a star.
I will never ever stay at another Americas Best Value Inn. Never.
