Overlooking Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks, the Hilton Burlington hotel is the centerpiece of Burlington?s acclaimed Waterfront Renaissance, heralded by the New York Times and others. Church Street Marketplace, often likened to a Parisian cobblestone boulevard with its cafes, shops, boutiques, and restaurants, is just an easy stroll from the hotel. Also close are popular Vermont attractions such as Echo Lake Aquarium, Shelburne Museum, Ben and Jerrys, the Historic Flynn Center for the Performing Arts, and many others. Burlington International Airport, one of the nations most user-friendly and on-time airports, is only ten minutes away. World-class mountain resorts including Stowe, Sugarbush, and Jay Peak are also easily accessible. The hotel's 258 guestrooms decor evokes Vermonts regal fall foliage. Most rooms offer spectacular views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. Each provides a spacious work desk with two dual-line telephone, voicemail and dataport, and ergonomic Herman Miller work chairs. The hotel?s private, complimentary business center is accessible 24-hours a day. Its eclectic Battery Street Grille presents American cuisine with Vermont flair from 6 am until 11 pm daily. The lobby?s inviting, earth-toned Bar 60 is at once sophisticated and relaxed. The new fitness center, with floor-to-ceiling lake and mountain views, makes for memorable workouts after long days of business or vacationing. The Hilton Burlington hotel is the first choice among discerning event planners, business travelers, and vacationers to Vermont.

Average for a Hilton
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/18/08
Overall a nice hotel but only average for the Hilton brand. The room was very clean and quite comfortable, service was above par. Our stay was on 2/16 during what appeared to be a very busy ski weekend. At check in, they were experiencing computers problems but the desk staff were very courteous and accommodating answering even trivial questions from guests with patience and a smile while clearly stressed. We were not given the room I reserved (two Queens instead of King). This was quickly resolved upon returning to the desk. View of the lake and NY Mtns. from the room was excellent. Had a late dinner in the restaurant. Service was excellent and the food was very good. I had one of the featured steaks while my wife chose the fillet from the regular menu. My steak was butter-knife tender while hers was a little dry. I agree with previous reviews that Internet should be included considering the price of the room.

too pricy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/07
The construction issues that have plagued customers since the spring seem to have been basically resolved (I stayed here btn 14 and 17 August). The hotel looks nice, the rooms have been upgraded, and the location of the hotel is excellent. At the same time, the hotel was not worth the $180 a night I paid for it. First, the "town view" vaunted in the advertisements was in fact a view of the parking garage. Second, there was no refrigerator in the room (there was a place for one, so I assume it was on the way). Finally, I resented having to pay for the internet when I had already paid top dollar. And the maid knocked on the door at 8:20 of our final morning asking when we were checking out. Tacky.

The worst experience ever!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/07
I was totally disappointed with my stay at Wyndham Hotel. Check-in experience was very bad, the guy that was working that day (Jason) did not seem helpful at all; he was very rude and unprofessional. I asked him if I can get a room with a lake view, he said that I should be thankful for what I have got. I will never return to this hotel ever again.

Construction
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/11/07
We arrived on 6/7/07 to the front entrance being totally involved in construction, blockaded, etc. Our meeting was interupted repeatedly by loud construction noise. Participants had to be moved to different sleeping rooms because of very loud noise. We were given no warning or notice and nobody seemed to care. My sales manager never came to introduce himself nor apologize. Sleeping rooms were in various states of incompletion. Service and food were good to very good. Helpful staff. Great location on the Lake.

Very disappointing!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/18/06
We booked a room at this hotel for our anniversary, this past weekend. It was rather expensive, near $300, because it was a lake veiw room, and what the heck, it was a special occasion. Well, I must say that $300 for JUST a lake view was pretty much all we got. I was expecting this wonderful, spacious room, with maybe a hot tub or anything. What we got was a room that barely fit a desk and king bed. A very narrow short hallway leading to the tiniest bathroom I have ever seen, barely fitting a normal tub and toilet. The furniture was old, the AC was old, the toilet seat cover was re-attached with metal hinges and the wallpaper was peeling. There was also a broken elevator when we got there, and another that broke down while there. We did have dinner and breakfast at the restaurant there, which was very good, although very slow! The location was great, because it was so close to all kinds of things to do, but overall, I was very unhappy with my experience there. I will not be going back and I WILL be writing their main office a lengthy letter.

Good Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/06
Great view of Water front. I suggest asking for a corner room facing the lake. So many view you have one from the toilet.

great view, great room, great service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/15/06
The people where friendly and helpful. There was shuttle service everywhere at anytime. I received good advice and facts on the town. Internet was very convenient. The view was absolutely amazing even with the naked trees. I had a very pleasant experience.

Second-Class Treatment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/12/05
The hotel is fairly new, has a great view of Lake Champlain and the rooms are spacious and nice, but if you book your hotel online with many of the online booking services, be prepared for second-class treatment. The hotel advertises high-speed internet service, but if you didn't book through Wyndham.com, you will have to pay 9.95 per night, even if you are a Wyndham ByRequest member, as I am. In addition, most of the staff that I encountered were cold and not very friendly. Finally, if you booked on an internet travel site, be prepared to see your next door neighbor receive a complimentary newspaper and you will be paperless.

Living on the Lake Champlain's Shores
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/20/05
Great location and wonderful View of Lake Champlain if you have a front side room. Location is also great because the mall is directly behind the hotel (i'm talking one block) and it is two blocks from the town's main street Church Street, where all the shops and resturants are. Again it is next to the lake so a person can walk across the street to go a boat ride. The Location is PRIME! Though the hotel doesn't have a very good pool and workout facility.
