not going there again

I had to wait at least 10 minutes to check in, since there was no one at the front desk when I arrived and no way to alert personnel to my presence. There was air in the plumbing and each time a toilet was flushed on the floors above, the pipes in the room would bang atrociously. When the front desk was initially called about the problem, I was told that the noise would stop as soon as someone in the room above was finished showering. Thirty minutes later the noise had not abated, so I contacted the front desk again and told a maintenance man was on his way. When he arrived, he explained (as he turned on the bathroom faucet) that there was air in the plumbing and nothing could be done to alleviate the problem. He also invited me to come up to the roof to try my hand at flushing out the system. When the maintenance man left, I called again to the front desk, told them I would not be staying due to the noise. I was offered to move to another room. The banging was not eveident in the new room, so I was at least able to sleep.
