Good location, not so good service.

The staff at the front desk made me feel like I was a bother. During our three days and two nights stay, I didn't see any member of the front desk smile or appear as if they enjoyed their jobs. When we first arrived, we were contemplating changing our room so we could have a different view. The staff was very curt with their replies and didnt try to understand my need or allow me to explain. One lady bustled over, interrupted the lady that was helping me, and said in a very rude tone, So, do you want an even or an odd room, huh? I said, Excuse me? She then said, Even or odd? I then began to ask her what she meant by an even or an odd room and she interrupted again and said, Even or odd? Which one? The other lady finally got a chance to explain that the even rooms were on one side of the building and the odd on the other. The front desk staff were also dressed very sloppily and looked unkempt.
When the elevator doors opened to our floor, the carpet had a lot of stains on it and looked like it needed to be stretched and tacked down. There were ripples all throughout the carpeting. When we opened the door to our room, we were greeted with a pungent odor of something that smelled like musty mothballs. We were expecting two queen beds but instead got double beds that were not very comfortable. The room size was also smaller that we had expected. The next morning there was absolutely no water pressure in the shower. It was as if you were taking a shower with a watering can. We also noticed that there were room service trays with dirty dishes in the hallway when we first checked in. Since we checked in around 3:00 p.m., I gave the benefit of the doubt to the hotel and thought that the cleaning staff just hadnt got to our floor yet. But to our surprise, the dirty trays were still there when we got back late in the evening (around 9:00 p.m.).
When we took our children to the indoor heated pool, the pool was ice cold. I called the front desk and asked if someone could turn on the heat to the pool. They said they would send a technician right down. We tried swimming in the pool, but had to get out after a few minutes because it was indeed very cold. We waited about 30 minutes, and I called the front desk again. They said they would make sure someone would come down right then and check it out. After waiting several more minutes, I then called a third time, and a different staff member answered. She said that no one had mentioned to her to call a technician and she said she would have someone right down. After waiting several more minutes, I called a fourth time and again was told that someone would be right down. We left and went back to our room.
On the positive side, the pool was heated the next morning and we had water pressure in the shower. The staff was also very prompt to bring us a crib for our baby and some extra sheets. The young man that was running the parking lot booth was extremely friendly, but I believe the parking lot is owned by another company. We were told that this hotel has changed ownership and names several times in the past year or so. Because of the poor service, were confident that well never stay in this hotel again
