Clean, Cheap and Quite Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/9/08
We reserved a room at the Canyonlands, because our family members recommend it. Overall, it was clean and cheap compared to the extremely expensive (82+tax) for the Days Inn and Roadway Inn down the road. We stayed in a two queen bed room for 45+tax. From the very beginning the manager was extremely nice, provided us a room in the back building and it was quite stay. I would stay here again (many times) and thanked my family members who recommended this motel.

1st, what a joke
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/25/08
It is certainly not the # 1 hotel in town, very dirty, checked out early. Owner won't let you see the rooms first. Wouldn't recommend to even the bargain hunter.

Beware, Horrible Unethical Management!
By jeffh, 8/2/07
My friend and I had a motorcycle race in Bullhollow just south of town and when we called hotels everyone was booked except for this one. My friend booked the room for 2 nights, gave all his credit card info and told the person on the phone that we were getting in late. The person on the phone said that he would note that we were arriving around 12 AM. We showed up at 12:26 AM after driving 6.5 hrs and rang the night time buzzer and knocked on the door for about 40 minutes (all this time we could see someone moving around within the residence so they knew we were there). We finally called 411 to get the phone number as the hotel does not have it anywhere on the building. The person who answered told me that we were late and that they rented the room out. We were left without a room as everyplace in town was booked because of a religious weekend celebration. Even though they had our credit card info and could have billed us if we didn't show up, we figured that the motel rented the room out for more than we were going to pay. Management/ownership has bad ethics, beware.

Huge Disappointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/9/07
We stayed at the Canyonlands motor inn the first two nights of our trip and then the last night of our trip. The first two nights were ok. The last night was horrible. The room was not clean, did not have the refrigerator that was promised, had no soap, no light bulb in the lamps and not enough towels. The air conditioner was so loud we couldn't sleep with it running so it was miserably hot all night long. The front desk staff did not try to help at all. I would not stay there again or tell anyone else to either!

Great place with great rates
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/4/06
Great place to stay. We searched Monticello for about a 1/2 hour for a nice place to stay. My husband is very meticulous and picky and we have to see each room before renting. We finally arrived at the Canyonlands and love the rate and room. We stayed for one night and I am happy to say it was wonderful. My husband woke up refreshed and happy. All I have to say is thanks Canyonlands. I also placed another good comment on another website...travelocity or something like that.

Best place since Kansas City, MO
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/31/06
We pulled into Monticello late after a long drive from Salt Lake. We first went to a couple of places and they wanted to charge us $65 a night! The place wasn't even that nice. My wife and I decided to keep going down the road. We soon arrived at the Canyonlands Motor Inn. We went in and the Manager was so so nice! He gave us a great rate (35.00) and told us we could check out later if we would like. The place was extremely clean and nicely taken care of. We both had a great nights rest and were refreshed for the journey ahead. We are from Kansas City, MO and have traveled far and this has been a great place to stay. One of the best on our journey.

Great Place... will stay again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/31/06
The motel provided me with a 10% discount for reserving online. We stayed for two days and discovered a great place to hike and the Manager even found us a personal guide for free! The trip was amazing. Next time I plan on having a family reunion in the area and my entire family will be staying at the Canyonlands Motel. Clean place with nice people and great rates.

Loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/10/05
The price was great, low and for a nice clean room. The town of Monticello is one of the best-kept secrets of Utah. We enjoyed hiking and camping for the first two nights we were in Monticello region. The third and fourth nights we stayed at the Canyonlands Motor Inn. The beds were brand new and the place was spotless. In addition, the management was extremely kind, he even provided us with a .10/gallon discount at the Conoco gas station and 10% Subway inside the gas station. Would and plan to go back. Loved the experience!
