Millstream Motel, Ogden

stinky, filthy beds, broken windows,was far less than ok staying there. stayed here about five years ago and it was cute and clean, I dont know what happened but wow! way down hill!

There is nothing good about this motel. It is the only accommodation listed in the lonely planet for ogden, utah. . . stay anywhere else but here. I lost a whole night sleep listening to people hanging out outside my door and the floor caved in every couple steps. The windows/mirrors were broken and cracked, the side of our tv was burned, the curtains were held together by what looked like paper clips, the room smelled like stale cigarettes even though it was a nonsmoking room, the service was terrible, and the sheets/comforter had numerous burn holes. Oh and it was freezing out, like in the 30's and there was no heat and a tiny comforter with holes in it. Awful!!!

When we arrived there was a rude lady in the office and she was very unpersonable. The room was filthy and smelled like someone had just smoked in it, and it was a nonsmoking room. Non of the decore matched and their were dead bugs in almost every corner of the room. We had to get a refund and go elsewhere. It looked like a gang hangout and prostitutes running free. We were even approached by someone wanting to barrow money. It was a scary situation.

Wow. How a place can change so drastically in just a few years. The millstream motel used to be a classic, remind you of how life used to be kind of place to stay. It was family owned and well taken care of by people who actually cared about providing good lodging to travellers. Now, I wouldn't even dare walk through the property. Completely run into the ground. Gone are the days of old-time nostalgia with neatly hedged greenery. It's completely transformed. Avoid this place.

This place was great. Had everything I wanted. It was inexpensive. The service was great. There's the actual Millstream creek running right through the property...which made for a nice stroll in the evening. I guess it's been family owned and operated since the late thirties... well, it shows...
I'd definitely go back.
