Just Delightful !
By himo, 12/30/09
Upon entering this hotel the staff is very warm and friendly. This is a gorgeous hotel with low-lighting and is very relaxing. You will be captured by the decor. If you need to escape for a two or three day get-a-way, I would highly recommend this lavish hotel !

Family Retreat
By Shanda, 08/15/09
Great hotel for kids to come along! The hotel provided plenty of pool toys for all the children playing in the indoor/outdoor pool. They even had a sand box and a basketball goal. Nice place. We were welcomed with cookies and chocolate milk in the room for the children and the hotel staff was very nice. We will definitely stay her again if we are going to Austin, or even passing through in the future.

In the sticks

Not a bad hotel, but it was way out of town. Please don't confuse this hotel with the downtown Omni.

Service impressed us
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/05/07
We are usually pretty economical travelers. Austin's hotel rates were fairly high, so we decided it was worth the price to try the Omni, since lesser hotels didn't cost that much less. We found the service to be quite superior to other hotels and worth the additional cost. Everything was clean and ready for us, in good working order. Room service breakfast was served hot and very promptly. Just an excellent stay.

This is luxury?!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/06
There was a leak at the sliding glass door that dripped all night long soaking the carpet. A cigarette burn in the sheets, big red stain in the carpet near the bed. The big armchair was in bad need of a cleaning, oil/dirt/ickiness all over the arms. The night tables needing to be refinished. Peeling wall paper near the A/C vent that was being held up with a tack. Someone's toenail in the bathroom on the rug...it was disgusting. When attention was brought to the staff of the problems all we got was "Oh, you booked through Orbitz. You need to talk with them." We should have booked Motel 8!

Great family experience
By What the..., 03/27/06
When we checked into this hotel, we were pleasantly surprised to be given a gift bag for each of our children for their stay. The bag contained crayons, a color book, a watch, a cup w/ straw, and a deck of cards. Not only that, but the kids could bring their cup to have it filled for free w/ any soda of their choice anytime of the day. Can't beat that! They also certain hours in which you can order a snack for your children on the house as well. We were very impressed by that as well. What threw me over the edge into LOVING this place, was we took the kids downstairs to get their cups filled and decided to walk around and see what they had to offer. As we walked, one of my children dropped their cup of soda which spilled all over the ground. My husband and I were going to look for something to clean it up with, when one of the employees said he would get a towel. We kind of stood guard over the spill so no one would slip and fall when another employee came along and absolutely insisted that we go and enjoy our stay, that they would wait for the towel to arrive. I'm so used to cleaning up after our children, that it was very nice to be pampered instead of being treated like we had problematic children. The rooms were very clean, nicely decorated, and a nice size. The kids loved the pool as well. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone with a family.

Absolutely Magnificant
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/01/06
The room was beautiful, the service excellent and the amentities of a high class hotel. There wasnt anything I didnt really dislike, I did wish there was an balcony, but the huge window did its justice. If I do visit Austin once again I am most definitly staying here.

Great hotel, great price
By Bubba, 11/30/05
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I was initially greeted by a very courteous and friendly front desk clerk. Our room was very nice and looked exactly as the pictures I saw online. It was great that there were no surprises there. Room service food was excellent, as was the the service and price. I have a few small complaints. Every day our room keys kept getting deactivated and we had to go down to the front desk and have them reactivated. The hotel is close to the downtown area and several other points of interests but getting to the hotel is a little difficult. Finally, the hotel seems to be in a business park area surrounded only by some office buildings and a few other hotels. It would have been nice to have some restaurants within walking distance. Overall, I really enjoyed the stay and would go back again.
