Way overrated for the price, this place has had a bad facelift and it shows. watch out for billing I was triple billed for my stay. The location doesnt justify the stay at the hotel.

King reservation not honored...
By ,
2nd visit - guaranteed us a king in writing via email - would not honor our reservation - ignored requests to fix our room, untruthful to us about room availability as they gave four of our party of six kings AFTER we checked in although they were told no kings were available as well....WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN....loud, out of control kids banging/slamming on doors and screaming - no free internet.,,,charged for PARKING and overall rooms were not as nice at Hilton Garden Inn and Holiday Inn Express...

Don't Go!
By ,
The Worthington has this "great" reputation, but has some serious issues. When I last visited, the billing was done incorrectly and the person at the desk handling the matter was rude when asked to recheck. We were also told by a person who had worked there not to order the room service because the conditions were not up to par in the kitchen. The actual rooms we reserved were changed at the last minute, leaving us to figure out a different sleeping arrangement. Management seems very insensitive to complaints, seeming to ride on the reputation the Worthington once had.

Grand Brunch no more
By ,
The Worthington is a lovely hotel. A while back, their Sunday Brunch was a grand Brunch in every sense of the word. Located on 'the bridge' overlooking Fort Worth with an elegant atmoshpere well worth the trip. Now however, it has been relegated to a small restaurant with no view. The brunch is equivalent to a normal breakfast buffet. The plate I picked up was dirty, the food was overcooked. We made online reservations, but no maitre d to greet us and we waited close to 30 minutes for our table. It was just a big disappointment to see how much it had changed. I would not recommend it.

A year later -- Did they improve on problems?
I'm about to visit this hotel again (a year since my last visit) and I'm anxious to see if they have improved on some of the things I didn't like last visit. When you are staying multiple days and you access the in-room internet, they automatically keep billing you every 24 hours whether you access it again or not. I found this out the hard way last time when I used it on the first day, but then started using the free wi-fi in the lobby for the remaining days of my stay. My bill had 4 days usage on it. The desk clerk just said that that's how their system worked -- so be warned. Check your bill carefully. It made me wonder how many people were charged for extra days they didn't use the service. When you make a phone call from your room, they automatically assume that only the first name listed on the room is capable of making the call, so they answer the call, "Hello Mr. Jones" even though it may be Mrs. Jones using the phone, or if sharing a room, Mr. Smith or Mrs. Smith. I suggested when rooms have multiple names listed, they not automatically assume only the first name can use the phone. We'll see what happens this trip. Last year, the valet attendant held my car ransom until she was sure I had paid my bill. After I had settled my bill at the hotel front desk, the valet folks discovered they forgot to charge for one night, so that was their solution -- to tell me I couldn't have my car keys until I went back in and let them add more charges to the bill that had already been closed out. It's a very nice hotel, but my experience was some very poor customer service and some very poor training of employees.

bizarre
By ,
we were there for 10 days. We scheduled a wakeup call for 8am and didn't wake up until the cleaning lady knocked on our door at 9:30am. Another day they turned off the water all day from 10am until 4pm and didn't warn us. Acutally, they claimed to put a note in the rooms but we never found it. Offered to let us shower at a hotel down the street. Another day we were expecting a fedex package. The sender said it was delivered two days before and when we checked, it was at the hotel but nobody told us. Later, we heard from other guests that they had different days comped for their inconveniences but nobody gave us anything but a "sorry". I felt like I was camping. Also, the restaurant has changed and is no longer in the lovely area on the 2nd floor. The sunday brunch is about half of what it used to be in quantity and quality. Starbucks on the 2nd floor doesn't serve anything low fat and most of the food is the same food every day until it is sold. I like the place but it was ridiculous and when I sent them a letter, they never responded back.

Our home away from home
By ,
We like staying at the Worthington because we love staying right in the hear of downtown. It is absolutely beautiful there. And the selection of shops and restaurants have really expanded. But, other than it's location, it is always very clean and decorately nicely for Christmas. (we go to visit my parents) I also appreciate the little decorative touches added throughout the hotel that incorporate western art and architecture into the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the shower hot and clean. I'm thrilled it's there!
