not up to Hilton standards
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/20/11
I reserved a king corner room. When I arrived I was given a handicaped twin bed room. The airconditioning did not work(100 degree day), the beds were very hard, and the room was very dirty. I asked to be moved to the type of room I had reserved 2 months earlier. I was given another twin bed room. The air did work however it was still not the room I had reserved. Staff was rude at best, hostile at worst. I would stay at one of the many other hotels in the area if I were to travel here again.

Hilton Anatole Pitiful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/15/10
everything the place was a nightmare. Conference of 1300 people no heat in meeting rooms reported it twice finally last day of Conference we got heat. $7.50 to log onto internet every other Hotel has the free in a business area. There was notebook computers stolen from conference rooms flooding of one room by over flowing toliet. Refri in room full of drinks for purchase no where to put your own drink if you choose to drink it later. The bed had coils in it with a mattress cover two inches thick trying to go the cheap route instead of buying new. The rooms were small and outdated. There was an opening evening with food and drinks no where to sit tables set up about 10 and 12 to 13 hundred people. The owners must be tight and they have all this Chinese are work including figures human size throughout the hotel the expense of this unrecorded able must be an ego thing. Buy a elephant the taller that a man and put cheap mattress covers over a coil mattress. This group will never stay there again.

Nice comfortable room
By LSUfan, 7/26/10
We stayed at the hotel due to its location to where a family member was having a birthday party. We were quoted $114 for the room. It was very clean, comfortable and elegant. We didn't eat any meals there, or use the internet, so we never had the problems other people had with being nickled to death. If you are looking for a nice hotel to stay in without all the fringe benefits (just a quick pass through town, for example), this is a great place to stay.

The best, best of everything under one roof. A little pricey!! The way events are happening around us everyday, this was a treat! I really enjoyed my stay at the Anatole, the housekeeping service, staff, the atmoshere was just awesome for the few days of lodging and we would go back in the future. 4-Thumbs up Anatole.

A REVIEW YOU CAN USE
By AmeriFun, 1/6/10
Most of the reviews you read are right on the money... this place is indeed "nickel and dime".. there is a charge for everything! They have a sign hanging in thk itchen near the docks about taking care of the customer - the sign should say "note their wallet"! Some tips: The parking: This was another hotel before that DID NOT charge for parking. There are flower pots in all the driveways (which can be slid out of the way) but the real gem is that we noticed some tire tracks on the grass... hmmm... the curbs are very low and easy to hop - go to the corner of the lot near the highway (lot 2 is best) near the gate and you'll see the tracks. Food: Don't eat there, breakfast is $20!! Alternative: There are alot of conventions and most have breakfast for their group. They usually set it up in between the two front desks somewhere.. just be sure to have some sort of id card hanging around your neck (flipped over of course) and they won't say a thing. Internet: Don't sign up for the $17 internet... there is wireless but they do not mention that... works in the room but in the lobby better. Soda: There is a soda station in the lobby, they charge like $2 for the cup but say it can be used all day... be sure you save the cup for the entire stay! Smoking: Smoking not allowed indoors (even though there are remnants like old ashtrays turned into trash cans). If you want to smoke be sure to stay in the atrium side. At night you can walk around the balconey and smoke one and ditch the butt in one of the many plants. One last tip about parking: No pay after 10:30pm. Biz Center: Watch out for the biz center... the hotel does not own this BUT will utilize it... for example: lets say you need a box, if someone from the hotel threw away your boxes they will instruct the biz center to accommodate you. Also, let 's say you need a box... there is a loading dock in the rear... if you are on business be sure to utilize it... the entry is near the backside of the unloacked and open biz center cage and there are bozes galore just sitting there... right by the back door. Also No fridge and microwave. PS: They charge $75 non-refunable for pets (what a rip!)... sneak em in! Good Luck.

Why do I have to be nickeled and dimed?!?!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/23/09
Nice big hotel. BUT it's not near ANYTHING. There is barely anything in walking distance. The gym is an extra $17 a day. Internet is between $14 and $17 a day depending on what level of service you want. Lots of money for parking as well. You will find better deals at a different hotel in downtown. The fitness center/spa is in a different building. You have to walk through the lobby of the busy conference center in your sweaty gym clothing to get back and forth to your room. Not a lot of good channels on TV for vegging out either. Sorry guys! I usually love Hiltons!!

unforgettable
By JamieU, 10/15/09
I stayed with a large group for a convention in March 2009. I was upgraded, unbeknownst to me, at the last minute at no extra charge. I was given a corner suite in the Tower and was completely surprised. The room was large, elegant and so comfortable. The service was professional, and truly so respectful and pleasant. I could not afford this hotel on my own, but as part of our group it was wonderful. I do hope to stay again and bring my family as a treat. What a beautiful, stunning hotel.

Worst Hilton Service EVER
By Denice, 9/29/09
Worst stay I ever experienced! I had family I wanted to impress with hotel location, restaurant, and service but was horribly disappointed. In fact, I checked OUT of the hotel in less than 2 hours! I contacted the front desk manager Henry regarding the following: I was traveling with my mother and elderly aunt. My aunt is a brittle diabetic. When I made our reservations, I upgraded to the "concierage"level because the res. agent told me this included complimentary hor'dourves and continental breakfast. When we arrived, we checked in at the "atrium side" of the hotel. My aunt walks with a cane, and we were not prepared for the long walk to the "tower," and was not offered assistance. Next, all three keys did not work to open our door, so we waited. It was about 5pm, so I called the spa 3 times with no one answering the phone. Instead, I called the fitness center and the staff member also tried to find spa staff to no avail! So my mom went to the "executive" level to find out about the complimentary appetizers. She quickly learned the appetizers were stale pretzels that were poured from a large bag. The staff member told her "we quit serving appetizers a long time ago." So, she took some pretzels and gave them to my aunt to give her something before our 8pm dinner reservations. Afterwards, we went to the Nana bar. My mom told me what had happened, so I contacted the front desk manager and explained all our mishaps. His solution was to send us an appetizer to appease our disappointment. I told him his "appetizer solution" was insulting at this point, and got no further. I already decided to check out, had called valet for our car, and a bellman to assist with our luggage. Once checked out, I went to another hotel we frequent nearby. When we arrived at the other hotel, we discoverd a garment bag was left in our room by the bellman. I called to retreive our bag, but was told there was no way to deliv our bag. However, Hotel ZaZa sent someone; no pblm

not trustworty
By Kevin, 6/30/09
Hilton is not trust worthy on their word. They been known to cancel events weeks before they are schedule. Replace it with another event. They cancel events and make room for ones they like better. Leaving thousands of people missing out of on the event and not getting their refunds back.
