Very Dissapointed!
By TSU Grad, 8/16/10
Recently my wife, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law and I stayed in your hotel at 7622 I-35 North Austin, TX 78752. We were very dissapointed in our stay. Some of the issues we had were as follows: Bugs in our room constantly including crickets, spiders and earwigs. There was a gap at the bottom of our hotel room door and that is where all the bugs kept crawling in. I did look at other room doors and they didn't have a gap as bad as our room did. We found food wrapers next to the bed on the floor from previous guests...they were not ours! Our shower squealed loudly everytime it was used, and the foot grip on the bottom of the tub was loose to where you'd catch your feet on it while showering. Everytime we went to get coffee in the lobby it was empty. We couldn't used the washer available to guests because it was broken. The entire hotel wasn't very clean at all. It's apperance online was definately deceiving. My wife and I went to use the hot tub on 8-13-10 and the jets were busted, it only had hot water. The ice machine was broken on our floor 4 out of the 7 days we stayed...we kept having to jump floors to find a working one. During breakfast one morning I went to use the men's bathroom in the lobby and the toilet was full of waste and clogged. We tried to give it the benifit of the doubt but the stay just kept getting worse. The bugs were also crawling up and down the hallways too. It made it difficult to feel comfortable there. We noticed massive cob webs in the corners of the ceiling as if only the basics were hit by the housekeepers. Also for some reason it's impossible to program your hotel into any gps. It's like it's in a black hole. It was our first time in Austin and we got lost several times trying to find our way back. I have a pretty good sense of direction and I thought it was difficult to locate. Overall we were very dissapointed. If it hadn't been for prepaying our stay we would have cancelled and moved to another hotel!!! Makes us think twice about ever choosing a LaQuinta hotel again!

Unfriendly Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/21/08
The rooms were average for the price, but the service in the front desk needs attention. Front desk personnel did not greet, smile nor show any type of friendliness towards my family. The would stare, which can be very annoying to guest, as we would exit or enter the lobby.

Good Location and Value
The rooms were clean and the service friendly and excellent. The Denny's next to the parking lot is a plus and the staff there is very friendly. While there is no internet access provided at the hotel, there is a public library about 8 blocks away with plenty of computers. The drive to downtown Austin is quick (5-10 minutes) unless there are traffic slowdowns, so the location is good. The road to the airport is one freeway exit away from this hotel.

Nice Motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/25/05
The rooms of this motel are very clean. The staff was very nice. We missed breakfast hours, but they still offerd us everything they had (execpt of fresh waffles, of course). The outside appearance was not to thrilly. But the room was perfect, as I said. We would recomment this motel for a one or two nights stay.

Knowledgable Staff and Great Rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/04
Have stayed at this location several times. I wish other hotels had clean rooms and great front desk people like this hotel. Always greeted with a smile. Room is always clean. Can't say I have ever had a bad stay.

Same Quality?
By Lisa Kay, 5/2/04
The first time I walked in this hotelroom, I wanted to turn around and sleep in the car. We had to stay there for two nights, and lets just say they could have been better. I stayed at the La Quinta Inn at Galveston and it was nothing compared to this. I was not pleased at all with this hotel. I gave it two stars because I was suprised that I didn't see roaches on the tolite seat.
