La Quinta Inn El Paso West, El Paso

I caught this one thru Priceline. Upon arrival, the entrance to the hotel was VERY difficult to find on a busy blvd (at night). The desk clerk had a black eye and had no knowledge of the local area (I inquired about a nearby exit to the Santa Teresa border crossing which I discovered the next day was one exit away from the hotel). I checked the room before unpacking the car and the AC covering was laying on the floor in the room....AC blowing hot air). Clerk told me he only had one room left, on the top floor. When I checked it, there was somebody's invoice that had been passed underneath the door and the AC thermostat did not work (although the blowing air was slightly chilled) so I took the room. When I inquired about ice, the clerk informed there was none on my floor and that only two floors offered ice. I had to go down a floor for ice & vending. Breakfast was a rare value, so I ate at a nearby restaurant. La Quinta should be ashamed of this facility. I reported to Priceline that they represented a dump in my opinion and I dare to use them anymore...this was twice (in Texas) that Priceline delivered me to a low-class hotel. Avoid this one and the pricing

I recently stayed here while in town for business. The rooms are pretty nice, the bathrooms are huge! There was a minor problem with my room and the front desk clerk helped me move luggage to another room, that was really appreciated. I wasn't to impressed with the bed, it was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Otherwise it is a nice, clean place to stay.

I like the fact the hotel is located close to the interstate but not too close. The hotel offers a great returns member plan and it is really worth it if you travel on a regular basis.

We stayed in this hotel last week and were quite impressed with the facility. Among the features we liked best were- *Easy access from Interstate. *Room and king size bed were very comfortable. *Bathroom was huge with adequate space for all cosmetics, etc. *Continental breakfast had good variety. *Check in and check out were easy. About the only negative was the fact that our room faced the interstate, which became quite noisy about 6AM. We will stay here again, but will try to book further in advance to get a better room location.
