Not a good place to take children
By Lisa, 07/23/08
I just had to let as many people know about this as possible. The pool is on the top floor and the railing has places that a small child can fit through. I couldn't believe I was seeing this in this day and time with everyone so concerned about lawsuits! The pool is 15 stories high and has a straight drop down to the pavement. I was terrified to even be up there with my toddler. Other than that I enjoyed the cleanliness but hated having to pay for every little thing. Wifi has a charge, use of the refrigerator in the room has a charge, they like to nickel and dime their guests!

Priceline Bargain
By PaulA, 03/25/08
Don't worry about the poor review of this hotel- check the price paid and compare! Check the message boards of the travel bidding sites and see what people are bidding in the area and getting this hotel. I consistently see winning bids in the $40's so I felt confident when I placed a bid which hotel I would be getting for $44. I feel I more than got my money's worth at the Westin DFW Airport North. There has been a complete room renovation since we stayed at this hotel when it was branded a Harvey hotel a few years ago. The room was very well appointed and the bed extremely comfortable.

Great Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/07
I was in Irving for a training course and the company put us up at this hotel (therefore, I can't rate "value"). I immediately noticed the extremely friendly staff (from the bell desk to the front desk to the host at the restaurant)who greeted us with warm smiles and made us always feel welcomed. Everyone was so professional. The hotel room was awesome! I loved the decor and the room felt clean and new. There was coffee (Starbucks) available and wonderful soaps to use. The shower was great and the beds felt extremely comfortable. The only negative thing about the hotel is the location. If you don't have a rental car, there isn't much you can get to.

over-priced
By DAVIDB, 06/21/06
For $150/night you would expect great services. Don't expect much here. Everything seems to be made to save the hotel money. The gift shop is the size of a closet and run by the front desk guy. The concierge is the bell guy. I asked for advice on sites in Dallas and he said he just moved here from New York and knew no more than I. Great choice for giving advice. There's one restaurant which offers good food and a basic morning buffet. Talking to frieds who stayed at other hotels in town made me more depressed. Other hotels offered free breakfast or internet, here nothing is free. The in-room movies were even off line for a few days so there is nothing to do here. Stay away!
