Embassy Suites McAllen, McAllen

Where to start? First, a few days before my arrival I requested a crib for my baby, and when I got there, they didn't have it, they started looking for one all over the hotel. But that's nothing compared with what happened later. We found a cockroach around the fridge area and a cricket in the bathroom. My baby wanted to crawl and we wanted to fumigate the room and leave the hotel. Next morning, we were eating the breakfast buffet and suddenly we saw a couple of cockraoches running and hiding under one of the food tables, just a few people noticed it. That was so disgusting and we just stopped eating at that moment. If the breakfast area was like that, I don't want to imagine the kitchen. For us it was a very disgussting experience, specially when your expectations are high for the price you pay and also when I compare with other Embassy Suites where I've stayed before. It was my first and last time in Embassy McAllen. They should take care more about those details and they definetely should fumigate every 2 or 3 months. If you want a clean and peaceful hotel, don't stay there.

What a rotten place! The refrigerator froze my food, the toilet ran all night, the sliding door was broken and wouldn't close tightly or open more than 6 inches. My room was on the SE corner of the hotel and the traffic at the intersection is VERY loud most of the night. There are not enough elevators and they are slow. As another reviewer mentioned; they play live music...great except they play it until about 10 at night or later, no good for those of us working and staying there and want to go to be early. Also parking is cramped and there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers for 240 rooms. Stay away!

Not only did the maid walk in my room without knocking during the day but my work schedule calls for me to sleep during the day and drive at night and I was unable to do that cause they had music blasting for the happy hour. If you want peace and quite during the day don't stay here.
