Great Place to stay ...close to everything

The staff is very friendly......from when i was picked up at the airport the driver give me information about the area and the hotel when i arrived to the hotel it felt like my home away from home.....front desk stafff friendly very , happy hr was awesome the rooms were very clean sheets very white and were changed every day the housekeeping staff was very friendly and and polite.....god i love the pillows and mattress...i will return to embassy suites el paso when in work sends me there......

Not as bad as I thought...

After reading so many negative reviews on this place, I wasn't looking forward to staying here. Once I arrived, I realized it wasn't half as bad as all the reviews made it seem. We stayed here for about a week. I loved the room, it had so much space. I loved the complimentary managers reception every evening. It was perfect. It had a little for the adults (full bar), and also for the kids (sodas, juice, snacks). Only thing that let me down was the televisions didn't have many channels, the ice machine on the 4th floor didn't work, & I didn't care for how the bathroom sink was outside of the bathroom. I like a little privacy when I brush my teeth. But everything else was great. I would recommend this hotel to others.

never coming back here!

The service was horrible, the staff never answers the phone nor room service,I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone I've stayed at the Embassy before I love their ammenties but the staff here in elpaso tx, was very neglegent& lacked customer service skills! Some cheaper hotels have been a lil more customer friendly. Im not going over board either this is my 3rd day here & it has been this way my entire visit.

Not what I expected

The room took a long time to cool. The entire room including walls, windows, furniture and bathrooms appear old. I doubt that was the look their designer was going for. It did however, had a really nice courtyard and complentary drinks at the bar during happy hour.

Wonderful and Very Clean!

Hotel is beautiful, I love the new renovations and the breakfast is excellent and the staff is more than accomadating. The managers reception is nothing but fun and relaxing. The bartender is excellent and even remembered my drink preference. The hotel staff seems to take pride in the hotel and it's guests. If I am everback in El Paso I will be sure to stay there.

Bad Experience

Yes, I had a security latch fall of as soon as I tried to lock the door, too!!! The place is under construction, but it did not say that on their site when i booked travel. was on 5th floor and major hammering and "moving around" sounds were out of control. the rooms are being renovated, but it was long!!!!! overdue. it felt dirty, smelled and was so old inside the rooms. the beds were so low to the ground that the bedspreads were majorly touching the floor. just felt gross and dirty. i paid 159+taxes for the room, which was more than i ever pay for my business trips with hilton. the most i have paid for the hilton and the worst i have stayed! the manager took $50 off my room because i told her about my experience. i will say the workout room and business center is new and nice, but that's the only thing about this place!

AVOID THIS HOTEL

WHERE DO I START? NON-SMOKING ROOM SMELLED OF SMOKE, BROKEN SECURITY LATCH, TORN CARPET, WAY OLD FURNITURE AND BEDDING. REQUESTED SECOND ROOM...THUMPING AIR CONDITIONER, HARD BEDS, NOT ENOUGH TOWELS FOR 3 PEOPLE; ROOM SERVICE MEAL BUT NO CONDIMENTS SUCH AS DRESSING FOR SALADS EVEN ON REQUEST. ICE MACHINE ON FLOOR BROKEN. BREAKFAST BUFFET LOOKED NOTHING LIKE ANY OTHER EMBASSY SUITE. THEY OFFERED A FEW DOUGHNUTS AND SOME CEREALS, FRUIT AND YOGURT..THEY HAD MADE TO ORDER BAR, BUT NONE OF THE USUAL EMBASSY HOT CHOCOLATE, EGGS, BACON, SAUSAGE, BISCUITS/GRAVY BUFFET. WATER IS NASTY TASTING.

NEVER AGAIN

Arrived late Friday evening 5-12-06. Origional room never cooled off, although checked by maintenance Sat. 5-13. Changed rooms, which did get cooler. Ballroom on 8th Floor (we were on 3rd) had a party. Music actually shaking walls in room. Called desk to complain--was told "It will be over around midnite. Feel completely ripped off and overcharged. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
