Bad customer service
My family and I have stayed here before and it was fine the first time since we were able to take advantage of the pool, fridge and microwave. This stay was much shorter, and less enjoyable.
We opened the fridge to store our water bottles and in there was a burrito and a half eaten pastry. In the microwave was another burrito. Needless to say, neither was cleaned, or even checked.
There is a small ad on top of the tv reminding you to call the front desk if you forgot any toiletries, well we did forget toothpaste so we called the front desk and they were out. We don't usually travel with an iron, and we needed that also, but again, the front desk didn't have eithere an iron or an ironing board.
They advertise high speed internet which is one of the reasons we chose this hotel. My husband needed it to keep in touch with work, and I also like to use it to look up places in the area and maps. The signal was so weak the internet was not usuable. My husband did go to the front desk to inquire on how to make it work, but they really weren't interested in helping.
We were there only two days, and before checkout, my husband called the main travelodge number where a "Thomas" answered the call and suggested we go to the front desk to place the complaints. Since our experience with the front desk had been that they didn't care, my husband mentioned this to Thomas who kept asking if he would like to go to the front desk robotically. It turns out he was waiting for a yes or no answer. Thomas then accused my husband of calling him names (which my husband did not, I was in the room and heard the coversation.) I imagine the only reason he would do this was because he was reading off a script and wanted to get off the call since he did not know how to handle the complaint. We ended up calling another travelodge customer service representative who acknowledged the negative hotel experience but refused to acknowledge the experience with Thomas.
