Service above and beyond

I stayed at Southaire Inn in Dickson, TN, on Aug 19, 2006.
*Conveniently located off I40 in a safe, populated, well lighted area.
*No frills, but clean, quiet, lots of towels, comfortable beds, and even a nice outdoor pool.
*Lots of restaurants and stores nearby.
*Has has everything you need for a good night's sleep, and you can't beat the price.
*As if that weren't enough, I was shown kindness completely above the norm:
I forgot to unplug the cooler in my car; in the morning, my battery was dead. I was dressed for church, but opened the hood, hoping a good samaritan would come by. Much to my surprise, the owner came out and asked in broken english if I needed a jump start, and if I had cables. I said yes to both, then realized I didn't have cables. He told me to wait, then he got into his car, drove to his brother's house to get cables, returned, started my car, and didn't charge me a cent. I was only a little late for church! As an older woman traveling alone, I appreciated this unsolicited help far more than any fancy room or free breakfast being offered at places costing far more. And they do have free coffee! I definitely recommend it.
