Will not be back
By Amanda, 01/05/10
We booked this hotel for our anniversary only to figure out when we got there that the room is ajoined to the next one. The parking lot is impossible to get in and out of. If you have trouble sleeping you don't need to stay here. We had LOUD neighbors and they fought all night, I finally had to call front desk and tell them to take care of the matter. They got the woman to shut up but then they turned their TV up and it kept us up all night. Then if that wasn't enough you can hear every car go up and down the road, and there was this mysterious bang that happened different times of the night and shook the whole hotel. We never found out what it was. The hotel needs to be remodeled, and pictures that you find on the internet of this place are very decieving.

DANGEROUS, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
By megan, 04/02/09
First of all, the first night ok, room was dirty even found a bullet in our room on the floor, which was not cleaned. Coffe maker did not work, either did the tv half the time. To top it off, our room was broken into from the balcony from the door that joins the other room, someone had busted it to come in and stole my rings and wedding rings. Made a police report and the so called manager would only give me one night refund back. We told them not to have our room cleaned and not to have anyone in there, the cleaning lady went in there as so did the maintance guy. Beer Bottles were left on our balcony one night when we returned and they were not ours, we had to young children with us and they were scared the whole time. Had to walk over a half a mile to get the contintal breakfast, which should have been in the lobby that we checked in at. The so called owner which were Indians at that and did not speack good english were very rude, the lady owner was very rude to me when i was heart broked that my rings were stolen, and so was the guy which was named Bobby. We only wanted to give us back 26 bucks and it was like pulling teeth to get our 38 bucks back for one night. Would not stay here again, rude, gross, very dirty and if you do stay there good luck and don't leave any of your belongings in the room. I forgot to put my rings on the morning that we left to go shopping and when I came back I knew where I left them and they were gone, we turned that room upside down, and the police even helped. They make it all nice and pretty online, but when you get there its a dump, the only thing good about this place was the view of the river and that wasn't much. Love Gatlinburg, but hate this hotel. They are theives and cheaters, and liars. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! THEY THOUGHT IT WAS NO BIG DEAL THAT SOMEONE WAS IN OUR ROOM WHEN WERE NOT THERE. SCARY!

Plan to go back next year
By Aggie, 12/23/08
We had a great time. The rooms were great, clean & well stocked. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The location was just inside Gatlinburg and we were able to walk or ride easily. We stated three nights and enjoyed them all. We really enjoyed the river view from our balconey. We are planning a trip for next year and we will stay here then too.

Disappointed in Appearance and Maintenance
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/07
We stayed at this hotel because of it's location to Gatlinburg, the fireplace and the balcony view. However, once inside I was sadly disappointed in the upkeep of the room. The border paper was torn off the wall in places and in other places was completely removed or torn. It would have been so cost effective to repair it, remove it or replace it. It made a huge impact on the appearance of the room. We also had problems with the cable. I contacted the office and they said they would have someone check it the next morning. It never improved. There are maintenance problems all over the facility which would be so simple to repair. They need to spend some of their profit to improve the overall appearance of the facility.

Going back
By jenny, 11/11/07
Stayed here in January as the one that we stay in is closed in the winter. Was very clean and the staff was very frendly. There was 5 of us in one room (2 children)and the room did not seem small at all. Had a room that overlooked the river and the view was freat. Even though you are on the main road you hardley notice the traffic when the door is shut. Great place for familys, has a cont. breakfast that was very good. The trolly stops right outside of the motel so there is little walking to be done.

Great for family reunion
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/07
We had a family reunion with 42 children and adults. The hotel bent over backwards to make out stay enjoyable. The conference room had a piano and we had guitars---A great time was had by all. A great value for the money. Location was great for young and old with different activities.

How sweet
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/22/07
Our car broke down near the inn so we stayed for the night. The place was so comforting!! It was clean and incredibly relaxing. The balcony is worth the short walk to downtown. Or if your not up for a walk the trolley is only 50 cents and it will pick you up here. Praise JESUS for places like this!!!

Quiet, yet in Gatlinburg
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/09/07
Rocky Waters Addition--across the bridge hugging the mountain--offers amazing solitude while being close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The cozy (but large) rooms and the chance to enjoy the balcony over the river make up for the entirely too small bathroom. One of the pleasures at Rocky Waters is leaving the balcony door or just the window open all night and going to sleep listening to the rushing waters of The Little Pigeon River. Granted, some traffic noise is included across the river since the hotel hugs the mountain which I think causes the car noise to echo...but never the less...if you need to recharge your batteries with quiet, peace, and solitude, this is the place--the hot tub also soothes away cares especially on a cool summer evening as the sun goes behind the mountain.
