Poor example of an Embassy Suites Hotel
I frequently stay at Embassy Suites properties, but this location is not up to par for this franchise. Minor issues would include broken electrical sockets door handles coming out of door, etc. . I loved the breakfast!!!! and the manager in the Kitchen, Marvin made my stay enjoyable. He was so friendly, and nice and l left the table full and ready to start the day. The rooms/carpets didn't look clean. The furniture was outdated and the bathroom didn't look clean. I wore my shoes in the room as the carpet has multiple stains and did not appear very clean.
However, my main issue is that the property is under construction. The roof an potentially the plumbing is being repaired. We were booked on the 9th (top) floor and had the distinct pleasure of being awakened at 6:30a to the noise of workmen on the roof dragging and dropping items on our ceiling. Also, their porta-john was located directly over our room which just added to the early moning noise. Throughout the day the workmen could be heard banging on the ceiling and pipes. Asked the GM why Hilton would knowingly subject their guests to this level of disturbance by placing them on the 9th floor where the constructiion is taking place, recived a lot of excuses but no explanations. Would reccomend staying at another ES hotel in the Nashville area until construction is completed at this facility.
