this was the first we have been to the Summit and it won't be our last,views you just can't discribe. The room was great and had everything we needed the staff was great helped us with anything we needed , If you are planning a family vacation GO you will love it,take the family there is so much to do.Have FUN. and don't 4 get the camera. NIce place to stay but a nightmare to drive to.

I will start off with the good. The view was great. The people who worked in the office were very nice and helpful. Our unit was a 3 bed 2 bath and was quite large. The deco was a bit dated but OK. The pool was good for the kids but had a lot of chlorine. My kids loved it though. Now for the bad. Unless you are used to mountain driving (I am from Ohio so I am not) it was horrifying drive. Some of the road are not wide enough for two cars and there is a drop off on one side. The turns are so sharp. I would NEVER drive it at night or without a powerful car. Now if you are used to mountain driving then it should be OK for you. But if you are not BEWARE. The other problem we had was that some of the condos are privately owned and they can put up whatever they wish on their porches including wind chimes that keep you up ALL NIGHT LONG. Our neighbor would not take hers down and the person staying in our master bedroom got about 2 hours of sleep a night. I will say again the people who work there were very nice.

This is a second home to us

My wife & I have been going to The Summit since 2003. To us, it's like a second home. Yes, there has been snow & the roads are very interesting to drive on. We always stay in the same condo. We go there to celebrate our anniversary & Thanksgiving & we will continue to do this as long as we are able to. To those few who don't like this kind of a place, there is always Motel 6 you can go to.

Never Again!!!

this was the worse experience ever. there was snow and you had a heck of a time driving up the mountain side after they claimed they kept it clear. there were cars parked at the entrance because the parking lot was too slick for them to get up to it. when I talked to the clerk about a refund because they claimed the roads were clear, she told me there was nothing she could do. this was the worst experience of my life. I do not recommend to anyone. Our bedspread was torn and couldnt open the windows.
