Never again...

I guess for a 1 star motel, I shouldn't have expected much, but it certainly was not worth the $60 I paid! When I put the key in the lock, I am still not convinced the door was actually locked before we got there, it opened WAY too easily. A 90 degree F room and an open pepsi can sitting beside the door greeted my family and I. The TV worked well and so did the AC, so after about 4 hours the room was bearable temperature wise. However the dirt on the back of the bathroom door, the toilet paper left on the toilet seat - UNDER the "this toilet has been sanitized" tissue paper ribbon wrapped around the seat, the apparent tooth paste back-splash all over the coffee pot next to the sink, the nearly empty roll of toilet tissue on the roll, the stained bed cover seriously made me wonder what I was crawling into when I got in bed. The ONLY reason I got in bed was because it was late, the sheets were white, and I figured any other room was just as bad. Upon doing the "last minute check under the bed for kids' socks", I found a plastic cup and some Cherios. I've never been so glad to leave any lodging in all my life. We skipped the continental breakfast and moved on...
I will definately go with my gut next time!
