Long Bay Resort is located approximately two miles from Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede, five miles north of downtown, and Myrtle Beach International Airport. The Children's Museum of South Carolina, NASCAR Speedpark, Tanger Outlet Center, Broadway at the Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, Myrtle Waves, and Myrtle Beach Pavilion are within five miles of the hotel. This location is also six miles from Family Kingdom Amusement & Waterfront Park and Barefoot Landing, seven miles from Grand Prix Family Thrill Park, and nine miles from Myrtle Beach State Park. Ready to go back today!!!

My husband and I went there on our honeymoon and just wanted a little peace and relaxation time to ourselves and that is exactly what we got! Long Bay was wonderful... great service, clean rooms (very spacious), beautiful view, not far from all the big attractions, wonderful pools... All together I would recommend this to anyone. We had a wonderful time and the service was great... everyone was very nice and always willing to serve you! We loved the King Suite and plan on coming back next year with our whole family to check out the condos and stay for a week. As for thinks we didn't like... the parking garage was really small, but what can you expect. It is a parking garage and it wasn't that busy in September. Also, we were thrilled about Martins Restaurant... just too expensive for my taste and not a place to take small children (if I was a parent). Otherwise, it was wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone! We can't wait to plan another trip to Long Bay!
 
 
 
 
 
Great Resort!

My family and I stayed at Longbay Resort towards the end of August 09 and it was a fantastic Vacation. This hotel has everything you need for a family to enjoy. Since we were going with three children, I definitely needed a kitchen. The kitchen was beautiful and useful for prepping all meals of the day. Our room also had a living room with a murphy bed and sofa bed overlooking the ocean. The bedroom with two queen beds. Long bay also offers a vast amount of amenities, which were useful and fun. The children LOVED ! the pools, even more than going to the beach, as well as, the adults. Location is great for eating out. The parking lot attached to the hotel, barely any walking distance from the hotel room. We really like everything from the resort, can't think of anything that was displeasing. We really enjoyed our time at this hotel and would definitely return.
 
 
 
 
 
Staff was rude and horrible

i will not be staying here again. the front desk, maintance, and housekeeping staff were very friendly but everyone else that worked throughout the hotel was incredibly rude. the woman at the pool was constantly giving us dirty looks and the waitress at the restaurant was beyond horrible. i would not reccomend this place unless you want to be treated like a piece of trash. the only good thing was the price and the location. if they get rid of a few members of the staff i think this could be a very nice hotel.

Will not be staying here again.

This was our second year at the Long Bay Resort and sad to say we will not be staying there again. This year our family rented a 3 bedroom condo and a queen suite. The suite we stayed in had a terrible odor in the carpet and it made the whole place stink. We called the front desk every day; maintenance would come look at it, spray something on the carpet and put an ionizer in the room. We went out and bought a can of air freshener. Nothing would take care of the smell. The management never followed up on the problem to make sure it was taken care of. I would not recommend this "resort" to anyone after our experience this year. This room was not worth the money we paid for it.

IT WAS DIFFERENT

I have stayed at Long Bay for over 12 years. This year my friends got robbed in their room. The paint on the ceiling was pealing. The manager was rude and very busy. The pool was cloudy and the first floor is like staying at Motel 6...except there is no light on.

We've already booked a return visit!

My husband and I brought our 3 1/2 year old grandson to Long Bay in October, 2008. We all absolutely loved it! We already have one of the three bedroom condos booked for October, 2009, and we are bringing the entire family. My husband and I are fortunate in that we have had the opportunity to travel quite a bit, and I must say we rank Long Bay at the top of places to take children.

Wonderful Hotel! Will go back!

Long Bay was a great place to stay! It was very large and I was very happy with what I saw! I liked the organized parking deck. Although a little salty, the pools were also very fun! They had plenty of pools to choose from! I enjoyed the jacuzzi, it was very nice. Great location! Right off the beach, and wonderful views. The service was not the best, sort of unfriendly employees, but I did not go there for them, the most important things were very clean and organized. I loved my vacation! and I loved the Long Bay! What a great hotel. 5 Stars! Great hotel at great rates. I will go back.

Long Bay Resort

The Long Bay Resort was very large, which made it a little bit hard to get from point A to point B, the elevators were slow most of the time, and the service was not the best; other than these few minor problems the hotel was great! We had clean rooms, clean sheets on our bed, and the floors had been recently vaccumed. It was a very fun vacation along with a great hotel. We especially liked the pool and jacuzzi. The main pool on the deck is heated and very clean! The jacuzzi is at a perfect temperature and feels great! The hotel had very easy access to the beach. We will stay at the Long Bay Resort many more times in the future! And I highly recommend it to everyone who wants a great hotel with a great Starbucks, a great restraunt, a great pool, great rooms, and great rates! Thank you Long Bay Resort for making my vacation a little better!

Great place we will go back

We are retired and used most of the facilities. When my daughter visited with her 5 yr old son, we enjoyed the pool and all the kids toys. A Good time for all and a good value for the money.
