I CAN'T WAIT TO NEVER GO BACK!!

I am a senior citizen, handicapped and undergoing treatment at McCleod Hosptial in Florence: I booked a room through Orbitz, requested ground floor, and NEAR hospital. Was given a ground floor room halfway across the motel and yards away from my car which meant I would have to carry luggage that far IN THE COLD. I was sick and very tired. Sat in front of the motel and called the number to request another room NO ONE WOULD ANSWER THE PHONE. Had to lug myself back into the motel, request another room and was given one RIGHT CLOSE TO THE LOBBY (why not in the first place?) Front desk said her husband would help with the luggage, and there he sat, making no effort. The room was clean AND COLD, the only redeeming feature was the personell in the dining room who prepared a takeout meal with all the fixings - they were courteous and kind, Also did not like the inference over the phone with the desk clerk when she informed me that this was a 'better motel than the one downtown (close to the hospital) because it was American owned and American run.' Suppose I had been a foreigner? All in all I've stayed at Ramada's all over the US - NC was tops - but NEVER AT THIS ONE AGAIN. It made a very bad impression for Ramada.
