Severe Crap hole
By Brett, 1/30/09
This place is a heaping pile of steaming dog turds!!!!!! Broken furniture, glass doors that do not lock, and wobbley, shakey beds that appear to be donated from goodwill ! The smell when you enter the halls will take your breath, something like urineals at a homeless shelter. Do not stay here, find anything else. Sleeping in a ditch full of rotting corpses is a much better option!!

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/5/07
This was the most horrible hotel I have ever stayed in. The place was dirty and smelled. Our balcony door was not attatched to the room (it was leaning against the railing) The doors on the exterior were not locked and were missing handles. The dressers in the room were falling apart and missing their handles. There was no toilet paper dispenser. The ice bucket had a whole in the bottom. The carpet was stained. The maid service did not clean the room properly and left trash in the room. This place is unfit to stay in. If there had been anything available anywhere else we would have left

Please do not stay there
By A Proud Marine Mom, 10/11/07
While the hotel is only 10 minutes away from Parris Island it is absolutely disgusting. The entire room was dirty, including the bedsheets! Stay anywhere but there.

stunk
By Mick, 10/1/07
NO-SMOKING the smoke would have made the place smell better.Maid service was the worst. The only clean place was the front desk. Rooms smelled like mold and the carpets were sticky wouldnt even let our grand child on the floor in one room. HJ needs to remove its logo from this place. If they gave our money back i would have it cleaned

Never stay here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/2/07
I stayed here to attend my daughter's graduation from the marine boot camp. The experience here ruined my whole weekend! I would have gone to another hotel, but my family had to many belongings that i did not want to re-pack. It was the worse experience ever! The front desk lady was rude, incompetent, and gave attitude! The building looked like a shack and the rooms were horrible! My sliding glass door would not open, not that I wanted to since it opened up to a creepy marsh area. The beds were uncomfortable and there were mysterious stains on them. The bathroom was disgusting and dirty. I made sure not to take my shoes off while walking around since the floor was so dirty. There were holes in the wall and the furniture was decades old and overused. The breakfast was gross. I wouldn't touch it since everything was in containers not from its origin. Who know how old any of the food was. I don't know how this place has managed to earn 3 stars. It needs to be reevaluated and reassessed.

Should be shut down by the department of health!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/2/07
This place was beyond disgusting! I believe the department of health would shut it down if they inspected it. There were holes, mold, bugs, dust, hair, and stains everywhere! The place was so old and unliveable. It was in a dump. All the landscaping was overgrown and weedy. We could barely walk from the car to the room with all the tree branches hanging over. I will be contacting the corporate office to request a refund! From now on, I will read the reviews of a hotel before I stay there.

Dirty, Old, and Terrible Customer Service!!!
By Tim, 9/2/07
Building and room was disgusting!!! I would never go again. It was located on a gross marsh land area. I requested a non-smoking room, but the hallway was full of smoke! The bedding and towels had stains all over them. The carpet was nasty! The furniture was very old and in poor condition. My tv remote did not work. The front desk people were rude. The pool was closed in the middle of summer!

OK for a 1 night stay
By JenniferO, 6/21/07
The hotel and room were clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. There wasn't much parking but the location was convenient for us. The hotel was very out dated and the free continental breakfast was a joke.

Should have asked for refund
By Ann, 6/17/07
The room numbers are in very small print on the outside of the building. In the dark it was hard to locate our room. Once we opened the door the smell of cat urine was overwhelming. The carpet was dirty, stains were all over the walls and ceiling. The dresser that held the t.v. was caving in and there was no screen in the sliding door so opening it to let the smell out meant letting bugs in. Coffee maker was filthy and we only had one plastic cup which was covered with dust. No handrails in the tub for elderly to hang on to. No exhaust fan in the bathroom to let steam out. All clean clothes were soaked by the end of shower. No housekeeping came during the day. We had to ask for towels.
