Not the best place to stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The room was not very clean and smelled like an ash tray!! The bed was clean and comfortable and we only stayed one night.... Had to buy air freshers to make the room smell clean enough to sleep. Be sure if you stay here to ask for a non-smoking room!!!

A good nights rest.

We have stayed here twice and are ready for our third time. Even though it has been only one night each time, we found the rooms clean, great pillows, comfortable beds. The room had a nice fresh smell. Overall this is a nice motel. The rates are good. There is a nice clean pool, a small area shaded for a picnic. Our room had a ref, and coffeemaker. The Huddle House is attached to the motel and open 24 hrs. There are several restaurants nearby. This is a good stay for touring Charleston and area. It is located just off rt.17 easy in and out, also close to MUSC. The front desk are very polite and made you feel welcome. There were lots of brochures on things to do in the area and the staff seemed to be able to help guide guests in the right direction for things that they wanted to do.

DO NOT STAY HERE

WE BOOKED OUR ROOM WITH OUR CORPORATE LODGING CARD. WHEN WE ARRIVED THE HOTEL DECIDED THEY COULD MAKE MORE MONEY OFF OF SOMEONE ELSE INSTEAD OF HONORING HIS CONTRACT WITH COPORATE LODGING. WE ENDED UP CANCELLING AND NOT STAYING THERE AFTER AN ARGUMENT WITH THE OWNER EXPLAINING THE IMPORTANCE OF HONORING A CONTRACT. THREE DAYS LATER WE WERE CHARGED $111.46 FOR A ROOM WE NEVER USED BECAUSE OF THE DISHONESTY AND GREEDINESS OF THE OWNER. JOHN P.

Good value for the money

I have noticed all the negative reviews of this hotel, but I didn't have a problem with anything while I was there. For what I paid for the room, especially compared to what I would've been charged for other hotels in the area, I think it was a great value, and the location is good (only about 5 minutes from downtown Charleston). The bed was comfy, the room was more than big enough for two of us (we got a room with a king sized bed). The microwave and fridge were convenient, and the air conditioning worked great (always important). Maybe my expectations are lower than some of the others, but when I pay a lower than average amount of money for a room, I don't expect things to be overly luxurious.

I'd come back

The only thing I didn't care for were the dark walkways and cracked sidewalks that took you from the parking lot to the inner courtyard/elevator/ice and soda machines. All in all the pool, was closed, but looked like it would be enjoyable, the grounds were maintained. The rooms were a bit small, but if you're not planning on staying for weeks, then it will suit your needs. The furniture was lovely, almost new looking. Beautiful cheery desk, framed mirror, matching armoir with a TV, new refridgerator, microwave, the beds were gorgeous with the matching headboards. The chairs reminded me of the old Victorian styles. The place was affordable, and had wireless internet hook up!!! A plus in my book anyday... stay here again Yes!!!

A Cheap Alternative in a good location

The location is really good. Right off the new Cooper River bridge. The motel was not the cleanest I've stayed in, but not the worst either. We were part of a group and I had difficulty making a reservation via the normal means. When I was finally able to reach the "special reservations" (my term) lady, she asked me to make my reservation via the normal system. I told her I couldn't and she didn't know why not. Then when we checked in they had lost our reservation. There was a lot of noise in the parking lot late at night.

Very Pleasant Stay

We have stayed at this particular Days Inn many times and always come back to this location. The rooms were clean and so was the pool. The staff was helpful in directing us to where we wanted to go. Because of my husbands problem with stairs we requested a ground floor room and this also was no problem for them. We always go late in the year after the peak vacation season. I would recommend this Days Inn to anyone that wanted to visit the Mt.Pleasant area and did not want to spend a fortune on rooms.

Will go again!!

It was close to so many places. We could be in downtown Charleston in minutes and Folly Beach too. The Isle of Palms was also within minutes and of course Patriots Point was very close. We had access to all the stores and supermarkets in just a very short drive. I liked the pool at the hotel and the customer service was always wonderful! I liked the fact there was a lock personal box in the room and a small refrigerator. The grounds surrounding the hotel were well kept and clean. Highly recommend this hotel!!

Don't go there!

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The place was dirty. Rooms were shabby-curtains ripped and hanging off the wall etc. Strong smell of bug spray. Pool inoperable and half filled-garbage floating in the pool. So far although I've tried very hard-no refund. This hotel is not in Patriot's Point but nearby in very industrial area.

A Nightmare

I stayed here 3/17/05 and 3/18/05 then changed to another hotel when management couldnt address problems dispite assurances. #1 Toilet didn't flush properly, #2 no hot water, #3 renovation noise was intolerable, #4 half filled swimming pool was nasty to look at; #5 front desk personnel were pleasant but totally unable to correct or address issues. This Motel Is a Nightmare! I have stayed at economy motels but never experienced anything like this! One expects sanitation, and hot water as minimum adequate standard when traveling. This establishment doesnt even begin to meet the minimum. I believe it is a health hazard and a fradulent business.
