5 reviews for Holiday Inn West Chester, West Chester
Clean, quiet and comfortable hotel
By Lisa, 06/24/09
We stayed for 3 days while in West Chester. We had a busy schedule, so needed a hotel that is quiet and comfortable for a good sleep. This hotel is fine for that. It is older, so the bathroom was small, but that didn't matter. No bad smell as reported in earlier reviews. Everything was clean and tidy. No sign of mildew or mold. We would definitely stay there again.

Good hotel overall
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/07/08
It looks like they have done alot of renovations with some more to come. It is an older hotel and a bit of a challenge to get in and out off of Route 202. The staff is very freindly and helpful and the hotel is very convenient to West Chester University

Blech!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/31/06
I'd rather sleep in my car than sleeping there again. Mildew, mold.... nasty. The people at Holiday Inn should be ashamed of having their name on this hell hole.

Like a wet dog getting out of a slimy lake...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/06
... this place smells.... bad. In addition to having disgusting rooms (mildew, paint peeling, disgusting carpets), the people who work there make you feel like you should consider yourself lucky to be staying at their hotel! WHAT A PIT! And the meeting spaces are worse... we held a conference there, and for two consecutive days we had staff come in and interrupt our meeting to argue/question things that were requested that they wanted to bill us for. Sad, my business likes to keep other businesses in West Chester profitable, but the best thing that can happen to this town is for this place to close and someone, anyone to come in and blow it up to build another one. Location is good, but that is about all this place has going for it!

Wait for them to "get their act together"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/05/06
The sign at the registration desk says they're undergoing rennovations, replacing the mildewy carpets, redecorating the rooms. They also appear to need to rennovate their computer systems or the staff that makes entries to them, and the way they promote their rooms. We came in at around noon to check into our "suite" (we were 2 adults and a child), and were given two keys. The keys worked and we entered a room that had pizza cartons strewn around, a TV running, and perhaps somebody in the bed. We immediately left, went back to the registrar and told them our "suite" was not a suite at all, and that the room was still occupied. The desk clerk apologized but said (1) it was a "studio" suite; and (2) we should come back after 3 O'clock which was checkout. We came back at 7pm, were given new keys, went back to the room, and it STILL hadn't been touched. Still the pizza, the TV running, the unchanged linens, etc. We insisted on another room which was on the third floor. The room was clean, this time, but it turned out that the sofabed (that which distinguishes an ordinary double from a suite, apparently) had not been made. The hotel seemed in a general state of disarray. So, all in all, a very bad experience. Some of the staff were actually quite nice, and we haven't ever ragged on a hotel before and feel mixed about doing it now. But these folks really have to get their act together!!!
